I ran into a version of this that didn't require two turns, which sucked because i had a sweeper in hand. But essentially it used the same loop to replay Brass's Bounty out of the sideboard/graveyard to eventually have enough mana to grab and play an Outrageous Robbery from the sideboard to steal the entire library.
59:42 Hey Seth, don't know if you read the comments on the replays, but I absolutely love the idea of doing a banned staple season! It would keep videos fresh and maybe allow for a new "meta" to emerge, seems super fun to watch
Perfekt Idea, i play a golgari/splash sultai ramp deck and play 2 timestops in the main and two more in the sideboard... All the end of turn, beginning of combat Triggers, Just get canceld... No planeswalkers. No nothing i really Love it
I honestly think Through the Breach is kinda flavorful to be in Innistrad Remastered. The best card to put through the breach is Emrakul, who was brought to Innistrad through the breach.
There is a better version of omni that used jace to mill without passing the turn or you grab a burn spell that you can keep recasting without passing the turn. Its also fun to put in bolas citadel in it.
Avatar has a Khan of Tarkir vibe...it fits Magic a lot more than a lot of Universes Beyond sets. Monastery Mentor is probably getting reprinted for it. Aang as a reskinned Taigram maybe?
Re : a MTG Goldfish Lore Channel. I don't really think Lore comes out at a fast enough pace to really dedicate a full Lore channel to it, Like in video form Even Urza, Gerrard and Jace would be pretty short, and Modern Storylines don't really focus on a single character for long terms. Even Kellen got relegated to Second Fiddle despite supposedly being the central character for a years worth of sets. However if you wanna talk about Lore on the Goldfish Podcast or on a Stream, I wouldn't mind helping out with that by providing notes or coming on myself to discuss current or past happenings in the lore. (Did you know that in Lost Caverns of Ixalan Amalia and Kellen became a couple and she went with him to Ravnica? Kellen's Goth Waifu Broke Pioneer)
I actually don't mind Sunfall / Farewell. I think it's necessary with how many crazy graveyard shenanigans, indestructible, shield counter, hexproof, protection, etc, mechanics / cards there are now. There needs to be some way of dealing with those.... I think people hate them because they want some surefire, 100% way to win every game (like the Nine Lives + Solemnity decks or others of that ilk). But imo, that's kinda boring
Seen a version of this deck that replaces the season of weaving with breach the multiverse and beseech and this town. You can mill them much faster than this nonsense. Grab the 2nd arcaivos with the beseech, fetch and play breach the multiverse, bounce the two arcaivos and fetch breach from your graveyard etc. I also run 1 maindeck Jace to fetch with breach eventually, double the mill speed
27:36 I never scoop to these combos. You want your easy win? No problem. At least understand you're going to have to work through the thousand tedious clicks. This isn't a criticism of the deck or the players who play them.
No it’s a criticism of players that force the opponent to play out a complex combo online, even though in paper you don’t really have to, you just demonstrate a loop once and then say how many times you wanna do it. So it’s kinda scummy to do to people.
@everyonesfavorite8238 It's not, but your distinction between the online environment vs paper is correct. It would be nice if they could add some quality of life adjustments to the Arena client for combo decks and players in general.
You're both wrong, it's simply a byproduct of dealing with a GUI and not a human. You simply can't tell a game "here is an infinite loop I'm demonstrating please repeat it ×100" and the only practical way to facilitate it in program is to allow for much longer windows of player idle times etc...which given people roping is already a focus of user complaints on Arena and besides the graphical time capsule that MTGO presents the time it takes for a player to be timed out for in action is far to long and dives newer users away.
Most matches played on Arena have essentially no stakes. Why would you waste your own time waiting for the combo? It’s one thing to make someone else’s life worse for free, but paying to do it with your own time is crazy.
For new season, why not put a challenge by banning any card that "search" the library including fetch land. It seems like clash meta always search land which took many minutes for recording purposes. This restriction will power down clash meta which will make it more interesting.
@daktastik Yup. Something must be sacrificed for better gameplay. There's mana rocks , dowsing dagger and treasures to ramp. Green x ramp that they always play is better because they don't need to shuffle. If you look carefully, fetch and pass is fine but when they fetch to continue their plays is the most miserable sequence to watch. Especially for Seth and Tomer.
no staples makes good game play, but players who watch will want to see good cards. If you could only have, say, 5 cards in your deck from top 200 EDHREC, then you essentially get to showcase top flavor cards without them overpowering the format.

I am so thankful for this vod right now. I am truly crashing out and this is tethering me to a place of thankfulness and positivity
You got this, fam.
Hope you're feeling the vibe of earth and the sound of hope and joy, resonating from your strong stand.

This Omniscience Reanimator is the one deck that I hate playing against right now in standard lol

Avatar the Last Airbender is a fantastic show! I’d be excited to have them as a set
2:26:26 This game was absolutely beautiful. One of the most cathartic magic games I've watched in a while. Fuck discard decks.
28:55 What are your thoughts on running a single copy of time stop in the sideboard to prevent them from doing anything on that last turn?
Perfekt Idea, i play a golgari/splash sultai ramp deck and play 2 timestops in the main and two more in the sideboard...
All the end of turn, beginning of combat Triggers, Just get canceld... No planeswalkers. No nothing i really Love it
Let's call that Azorius Omniscience deck "Clickeloden".
Best beard? HUNTMASTER OF THE FELLS 😂
Do you think there is enough precons for you guys to choose your favorite precon commanders and build a deck with them?
Play Time Stop in your side board instead of Negate. Or as well as. So you can end your opponents turn whenever you want
I honestly think Through the Breach is kinda flavorful to be in Innistrad Remastered. The best card to put through the breach is Emrakul, who was brought to Innistrad through the breach.
An idea for commander clash rules would be you can you may only run a card in 1 deck for the season (or maybe twice per season).
OMG. See you next Tuesday, does he know?!? 😂
I think Dream Halls may be closer than One with the Multiverse.
Avatar the Last Airbender would be a great set to give shrines some more love, and very very fitting for magic
There is a better version of omni that used jace to mill without passing the turn or you grab a burn spell that you can keep recasting without passing the turn. Its also fun to put in bolas citadel in it.
mtg chains of mephistopheles

lol when you got your whole hand dumped of counters it was rad
Played against the pixies earlier today. Unfortunately for my opponent i was playing black/blue zombify valgavoth 😂
Siege Rhino, it it's when it enters or attacks.

Block constructed commander.
"Target player loses the game" is a compelling one from door to nothingness.
I'm only hyped for the final fantasy set this year
If yall do hire a lore person how would one apply??
Ban farewell. It's house banned at my place
Ban all board sweep period. Game has become so boring.
27:36 I never scoop to these combos.

this deck desperatly needs one extra turn spell at any cost
where is the big scoops for when people subscribe

that also hamstrings green land ramp, for better or for worse

Why include omniscience in standard. Yeah five years of this garbage.
This exact deck won’t be available for five years, and anyway, it’s not that bad
Deck folds to graveyard interaction… it’s a cheesy combo deck that has to prey on being the surprise
