He performed in London about four hours ago...then he take the Concorde, flight to New York, and perform again in Philadelphia the same day, in the other side of the world....amazing !!!
Would be impossible today unless he could travel in a military jet.
@ILL SUBZ I don 't think so...he gets inmense sums of money for the African people doing what he did....a little show business doesn't hurts...haja
@@Ozymandias1 It's pretty mindblowing to think that nowadays we don't have any commercial plane that could rival the speeds that the Concorde reached 40 years ago.
@ILL SUBZ That's just what he did when he collected money for the homeless on his solo tours in 1990, 1994 and 1997. Whatever amount the people put in the charity buckets, Phil doubled that amount with his own money.
How I miss the Super Sonic birdie and the Eighties~
London is 5 hours ahead of Philadelphia, because of the timezone he arrived across the ocean to perform at practically the same time he left. This is crazy, this is historic and epic.
so if u keep traveling west with the same speed the earth is rolling basically you will be always at the same time , u will not age and will be immortal is that what u say ? :D
@@xxx333mmm Well, if our body would function according to the man made concept of time zones then yes :b Sadly that‘s not how it works
@xxx333mmm
In theory, yes, you would always be stuck at the same time you maintained the precise speed...
But you would still age and change physically.
I was in that crowd, at age 17. The summer between high school and college was marked by so many highlights, including the best concert of my life. When Phil appeared, we all went nuts because we knew he just got off the Concorde after performing in London a few hour earlier.
Wow
You’re 7 years older than me. I was 10 but remember watching the concert here in Dallas on TV
1985 was the absolutely peak of Popmusic for me and i have over thousend 80s Songs in my Playlist.
I can only dream about that time, cause i'm born in the 90s. Best regards from Austria 🇦🇹 ✌️
In the crowd 👌
Wow!!!!!
This guy sang on both sides of the Atlantic that day! Very impressive.
The power Phil's voice had during this time was impressive
you can clearly see Phill was pissed off about his last performance, he was on a mission to nail it this time
he looks like he just got out of bed with zero fucks given, both times.
Absolute LEGEND. Played Live Aid, London in the morning then took a Concorde to the states and played Live Aid Philadelphia in the afternoon. The 80's ruled, stuff like that doesn't happen anymore. The 80's had it all, Concorde, the music, the cars etc it was all there. Truly the best time to be alive.
Beautiful performance. I guess you can say Phil put the "Phil" in "Philadelphia"!
😍
One man and his piano … magic … nooo autotune
What are the 80's.. I think that something like that can not be organized now.. The positive energy of the 80's 👍🏻💪🏻
How can someone just perform in front of all those people, always amazes me
Icon. Live Aid 85 had Collins, Elton, Queen, Bowie. That quartet of artists is arguably some of the 10 greatest artists of all time. Special.
Plus Jimmy Page and Robert Plant😎🍀
er… Paul McCartney
and stevie wonder
Health and long life to Phil, one of the greatest musicians of all times...
I'll never forget Live Aid, it was not just a great concert but a groundbreaking event. And Phil came over in the Concorde! which was pretty cool at the time.
Imagine a man that can hold the entire world breathless,in the the palm of his hand using only his voice and a piano..yet hes derided and the butt of endless jokes while true cartoon characters are praised as "musician's" no jacket requiree?no respect given!
i love him
One of the best songs ever written; it makes me cry, every time! 💜💜💜Phil Collins!🌟 The audience rendered silent, at times, so awe struck! Magical performance! What a stunningly beautiful voice! 🎹🎼🎁🌟
100% agree such an emotional beautiful song by a magical musician 😀❤️
Phil is a true legend.
Unbelievable. The brass neck to go and play it again 4 hours later on the other side of the world. What a great time we lived in back then.
Love that man 😍
Phil collins was legend
Aww the 80s was EPIC!! Best music songs movies fashion...things should never have changed...I WANNA BREAK FREE!!
I got chills as soon as he started playing that piano! 😍 such a beautiful song 😭
I can't even imagine walking out on a stage with that many people....
You’d feel on top of the world
Such a talented songwriter, singer, and musician. One of my favorite performers of all time.
Amazing forever, Phil Collins
my fav song from phil such a legendary voice !! merry christmas to all in this hard time.. united we better .
The high that Phil would of been on that day must of been incredible. To perform in front of hundred of thousands of people on different sides of the world in a matter of hours… you’d feel like a god!
The best concert of all times-Live Aid.
Takes me back, loved that day, too bad we've gotta get old.
Absolutely true.
I can picture what i was doing listening to this on the radio as my vcr taped away in the house
Phil Collins is one of my best remembered concerts I attended.
Ahhhhhh the 80s.
That iconic Pepsi cup! They must have been on top during live aid 1985.
1:24 Cameraman: No one will care/notice if I get this damn towel out of the way...
Haha good comment.
Billy Connolly: “we tried calling him make sure he didn’t play the same songs when he got over there”
Phil in Philadelphia: 0:14
Perhaps he wanted to make sure Phil won't hit the wrong chord again.
To be fair, if you're doing 2 gigs in one day, I think you're entitled to do the same set list at both of them
I hope this is what I stumble upon if I make it to heaven
God, I miss good music.
Classic. One of my all time favorites
How i wish i could turn back the time😭
2021, still watching 🥰❤️
He was the only performer to play at both stadiums in England and Philly! Dude jumped on a Concord and flew across the Atlantic Ocean!
what a refreshing sight for the crowd to be listening and watching without them all having their phones out recording it.
I was born just too late to remember this. This is my favourite song and boy can he perform it live. Such a shame he can’t drum anymore
Love this forever❤
Phil is a musical genius and I love his music because it’s real
Seu maravilhoso 2023 eu aqui te escutando ❣️
Love him so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yeh, Philly!!! 🥰😍🤩 And the crowd goes nuts. I wish we could see more of the faces in the crowd, happy faces.
Yes, people could sing back then...
Phil made Xtra sure his finger didn't slip on that cord again.
Thank you Phil so much.
Yes… that empty space is still there. 😢
The unreleased live aid is coming togheter
One of Phil's best, if not the best.
Remarquable Phil Collins. Pour moi il est le meilleur. 2022 Phil still THE BEST forever and more. Thanks from Paris.
My God what a talent.
Very beautiful.
This sounds so much better than with accompaniment in the radio version.
Nessa época estava no alge da minha vida, tenho grandes recordação, mas o tempo passa muito rápido, parece até que foi ontem.
Phill Collins / thank you very much //
Phil > everyone else
Eu sou apaixonada por ele ❤️ marcou minha vida.
Phil Collins is probably behind queen on live aid because he performed I philadelphia and wembley and gave great performances at both venues, great man
Brasil!!!! 💚💛
Wish 2003 wasn’t the last time we got to see live aid/8
Thxs not it would know only be shit Artist like Beyonce,Ariana Grande etc. Not real artist like in 85.
@@mitchellboon2725 true but still be the legends passing on to new legends and underrated songs
@@arij2349 I think you have to leave it in the past. If they want to do it agian do it with a new name.
and a few hours later 10 am hours in Philadelphia he flew concorde to replay the same song in London at 4 p.m. magic phil
It was the other way around. He did Wembley first and then flew to America on Concorde.
@@R03KY 😇
I wouldn't go to Philly anymore no matter whos there............kinda sad what the city has become now.........
I remember watching this live on TV and still to this day I am wondering what fell off the scaffolding around the Jumbotron just after 2:15 in this video. Doubleyew tee eff!
Summer of 85. The last good year of my life.
I miss the 80s so much
I lived the best of life in the summer of 83
I remember
84 wasn't bad
85 was ok
86 my life fell apart and I am never the same
It's been awful since
How old you are now
Stand strong and follow your own road. DO not let the main stream rule you. Rule on your own.../
Also keep listening to 80s music.
What happen back in 86'
Everday has the potential to get better. As the Beatles sang: It's getting better all the time - it can't get no worse.
*Um tempo em que o mundo era mais feliz*
Prime Phil Collins 😢
🇧🇷🇧🇷 ❤️❤️ Brasil te ama e eu sou uma delas!
How great feels good music. That's our dream..
Let's do that!
RIP Daddy
I like this Song. Very beatiful 💗👍
È incredibilmente bella e coinvolgente dopo così tanti anni ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Well at least he got it right this time. 😅
jk jk I love Phil Collins and as a musician I always count my mistakes after a live show which against all odds seem to go mostly unnoticed so I could see this happening to me at a smaller venue 😂😅
Que vontade de voltar no tempo.
If this doesn't sound like 1985 then don't what does!
Wonderfull
I'm really missing the 80's , they were really the best years of my life and at the time I did'nt know it! Make sure to treasure your youth, it really does go by quick! Thank you Phil for all that you have done!
