- This junk journal is a keepsake treasure custom made for a friend. It showcases a lot of her mother’s needlework embroidery and tatting, vintage laces and vintage buttons plus some personal items that she requested to include. It was a complete joy for me to create this for her! I used Antique Florals digital kits from ChapterOnePapers and painted the pages with enchanted gold shimmer polish to give a rich luster, patina and shine. Fabric covers are layered over Krafttex, lace scarf tie closure, ribbon tassel, beads, charms, lace and lots of shabby chic beautifulness inside!!💕

You've created a beautiful tribute to her mother. All the bits and pieces your friend provided will bring back warm memories. Same for that jeans pocket. A number of years ago, I created an entire 8" x 8" photo album using faded jeans pockets, vintage crochet doilies and flowers created from jeans legs...awesome look!! Couldn't bring myself to sell it...had to keep it for myself. Wonderful journal!!

Your journals are so beautiful! I get many ideas from you, like putting writing paper in an envelope. I always think I need to make a card.
I LOVE the lace border die you use. There are also tags with a beautiful cut out design on the bottom. Is that a die also? I’d love to get it if it is. Do you have favorites on Amazon?

Love the tags you create. Can you tell me what punch you used on sim tagged - they make the tag look like it’s dripping 😊like lace!
I’m not sure which tag you’re looking at but it’s probably an EK Success punch called Flower Burst or it could be Martha Stewart Fans & Flourishes … and they may both be discontinued by now
Where is the binding thread?! How did you get the buttons on there? I mean how did you do the cover ? Very pretty.
I have two videos that detail sewing the signatures and vintage buttons into the spine - you should be able to find them under my complete video list.
Your work is beautiful. Can you tell me how far apart each signature that has ten pages ?
The space inbetween signatures on this one is about 1/2”

Can you glue the lace down on the pages of the book each page glue the lace
Yes you can glue the lace directly onto pages. I use Fabri-Tac then sew them to the pages for extra stability. Thx for watching💕
