    A video on how to do your make up when you're having a sensitive skin/eczema flare up would be great. For those times when your skin is going crazy but you need to put on some make up for work for example.

    Hi Lilly!
    I used to have allergy in my lips a couple years ago. It took me a long time to figure out what was happening. I thought it was lipstick and lipbalms and it was driving me crazy. Someone told me perhaps it was the toothpaste. I didn’t believe, but started searching about it. I found out that an ingredient (sodium lauryl sulfate used to give foam to the product) could cause reactions. I gave it a go and changed that and started using Sensodine (not the gel) . My lips really got better. No more eczema, no more allergies. I know you went to many doctors and receive tips every day about that. But try changing the toothpaste. Who knows! Xx

    Coconut allergy gives you eczema and it’s pretty common. So if you’re eating/drinking coconut or cooking with coconut oil you can get eczema on your lips. Of course, you can get eczema from other things but I thought I’d at least mention it because I’m struggling with eczema myself right now, and I’m focusing on food-allergy as my skin care routine is already very sensitive-friendly and minimal :)

    Vlogs - love your vlogs
    Hauls or outfits of the week
    Ever since I saw your Insta story about your "real" hair struggles I been curious to see a video about your hair .... maybe a challenge type video where you style your natural curls or go to a hairdresser and have them style your natural hair or something like that 😊 just at suggestion
    And collabs!! MAYBE get ready with me ?

    I’ve been really impressed overall with Clinique over the last year or two...especially for great basic skincare products that really deliver like the cleansing balm, moisture surge line etc. I’m finding that they make a great base routine to then add other products to such as serums, acids, retinols etc.

    I’m above and beyond certain, from my own very similar experience, that you have a fungal infection on your face. That’s why it doesn’t ever fully go away. Aside from waiting to get in at a Dermotologist office, you could try a pythione Zinc soap. The packaging seems so cheap and I seemingly but actually they are brilliant. Especially ones with Argan oil in them. Within a few days said infections will start to disappear if it is intact an infection.

    • @GoodandDelicious
      @GoodandDelicious 6 лет назад +1

      As in infection from your lips to your eye. I feel like whilst your lips got irritated by the lipstick, they must have gotten infected with the dry skin exposure and thus that’s why it’s spread to your eye.

    • @baokimb222
      @baokimb222 6 лет назад +4

      I work in dermatology, so no, she does not have a fungal infection. It is eczema which is exacerbated by her dry skin as well as allergies. She definitely has contact allergies (i.e. allergies to certain ingredients in skincare) given her reactions to certain cosmetics (i.e. soap and glory lip product) and possibly environmental or food allergies.

    • @GoodandDelicious
      @GoodandDelicious 6 лет назад +3

      Baokim B See, that’s the thing, that’s what everybody would tell me. I was the one that finally figured out what it was when I started using that soap and it helped me. Maybe it isn’t but it can’t hurt her since it’s so mild but effective. After so many months dealing with her issue, why not give it a shot?

  • @j_stuchbury2123

    When I had an eczema rash on my face the best products I found were by Avene. I washed with Cera ve cleanser, misted my skin with the Avene thermal spring water, applied hyaluronic acid prescription, then used the Avene Trixera cream. I agree it's important to steer clear of fragrance as it's often the number one trigger. Be careful with chemical sunscreen like the glossier one, they can often cause reactive skin too. If you're not currently taking a probiotic you might want to consider one for your gut health. Good luck and keep your skin moist!

    If you use HA acid it is best to put it on wet/damp skin because it will catch the water and keep the moisture in the skin as it is able to hold water many times more bigger weight than HA itself. If you put it on wet skin it will work even better. For night I put it on wet face mixed with maracuja/passion fruit oil and it works wonders for stressed, dry skin :) xx

    I’m so thankful that you’ve opened up about your facial eczema and that you’ve shown what products you’ve found helpful. I was born with eczema on my face, and it’s just gotten worse over the past 30 years, and it’s something I’ve been very self-conscious about throughout my life, as I was bullied quite a bit over it throughout primary and secondary school. I’ve always had eczema around my mouth, but I developed it on my eyelids 2 years ago when I was living in London and it’s not gone away, and has now spread around my nostrils. So, thank you for your advice and I hope you keep it coming! X

      emrmch had the same issue, I now use a moisturiser from a brand called Childs Farm that costs £4. It’s for baby’s, but after trying everything, it’s honestly given me confidence back in my skin. Look into it!

    I started getting a face allergy to some skincare and makeup last year, I’m still trying to narrow down the ingredient, but it happened with products I used for years and years and all of a sudden my skin couldn’t handle them and getting almost instant face sun burn reaction to them within minutes of applying them. To strip back my cleansing skincare routine I now use a microfiber face wash like Face Halo and remove my makeup with that and water (no products) and then mascara with bioderma sensitive wipes. So no makeup remover like Clinique on my face. The face halo does the trick even with full coverage foundation and a dark eye or lip! It’s amazing! So strongly recommend if you want to strip it back even more!

    Just needed this!! My skin has been breaking out recently and I get such bad eczema under and around my eyes, it’s so scaly and sore. So I have to be so careful what I use! I’m so glad you made this. What make up have you used to help cover it? As I need something to cover my breakouts but a concealer that doesn’t cake or go flaky under my eyes.
    I get so so upset about it too! Lots of love xx

Thank you so much for sharing I will take a closer look at these products. I’ve resorted to just letting my skin breath and washing it with cool water and moisturise with E45 it’s calmed down loads in the last week. It’s my birthday a week on Wednesday so really want it to be better as I have lots of plans. Glad your skin is starting to behave itself now 🧡

      Keren Leah Code I don't usually respond to comments but I just had to reply to yours as I had that exact same thing happen to me a couple years ago after I came off the pill! It was annoying as I'd always hard quite good skin that was easy to manage. For me what worked was stripping back my skincare and being as simple as possible and resisting throwing every new serum and mask I saw. But the key was really just time. I had been on the pill for a few years and so when you go off it your body has a bit of a shock on the hormone front. It takes a few months (not to be too frightening but my skin took about a year to get back to normal) for your body to adjust. Not sure if that's helpful but just wanted to assure you that there's light at the end of the post-pill tunnel!!

    So my skin (sensitive dehydrated) went bonkers a while ago and not having skincare gurus in my dms lol I watched lots of videos to find a solution. I don't know how much you've looked into Korean skincare but combining The Hirons and Gothomista recommendations fixed my skin. I stopped acid obvs and added Pyunkang Yul (which is a Korean brand made for people who've had work done on the face) essence toner and balancing gel. They are so hydrating and light and helped fix my skin. Also once my skin was more regular I added a fermented serum and it's great,

    I have sensitive skin and a month ago hag a major eczema break out (due to crazy weather and overexfoliating, I suppose). Absolutely agree eith you that less is more in this case, and that fragrance free products arr the best. The products that really helped ME were : sweet almond oil for removing makeup and Trilogy cleanser for cleansing; Kypris antioxidant dew as a serum (for both day and night); Pai calming day cream as my day time moisturiser and a mix of sweet almond oil and rosehip oil (by Pai) as my night time moisturiser.

    Have you looked at what you wash your wash your flannels in? I was using even fragrance free detergent and still having issues. However I was not measuring out the appropriate amount of detergent and basically using too much. I think I was stripping my skin of all of the natural oils and good stuff. I also find the magic eraser clothes miracle worker even when my skin is freaking out.

    I need to try Clinique's take the day off, It seems so nice for sensitive skin plus it's readily available here in Buenos Aires, don't know why I haven't yet tried it. Loved this video! I'd like to see more about RUclips, growing your channel and software and so on, but then again, I also love every video you make so anything would be nice from you. 🤗❤️

    Hi Lily! Have you tried O'Keeffe's Lip Repair unscented lip balm? I also suffer from sore lips and eczema around my mouth, but I've been using that lip balm for about a week and it has cleared up already! Definitely worth a try :)

    Hi Lily! I've had similar experiences with my skin and I tried the 'Go-To' line of skincare. It's an australian line and it's only available to order online but it's great!

    I'm glad your skin is feeling better now, thanks for sharing the routine! House renovation videos are always interesting. I also enjoy your vlogs around London. I think you once said you were born there? I'm sure you know a lot of great, less touristy places. A video series on your favourite bookstores, restaurants, shops, etc would be cool :)

    I’m not sure if you can get this in the UK - but there’s a wonderful brand called Elta MD that has done absolute wonders for my crazy sensitive skin. Especially the PM therapy moisturizer - it has been a savior this winter. Love your content and congrats on the best seller!!! ❤️

    My skin is also super dry and sensitive. And I also had the problems around my eyes, finding out it could be some sort of neueodermatitis. I got this face Creme recommended by my doctor EXCIPIAL. I am from Germany but if you can get your hands on it in the Uk, I definitely recommend you trying it. It pretends the skin from freaking out also prevents dry patches.
    Lovely video 😘❤️

    Lily you look so beautiful! I'd love to know what bronzer and blusher you're using if you wouldn't mind letting me know? Usually I don't like too much colour on the cheeks but I think what you're wearing looks stunning!

    Lily I am new to your channel and I don’t know if you’ll see this but I’ve binge watched a lot of your videos and in some you appear to have a rash that looks as if it could be perioral dermatitis. I know you are in the UK (I’m American) so I believe it is harder to see a dermatologist there from what I’ve heard but many doctors do not know about the condition. It is often made worse or even caused by steroid use on the face. Stress also makes it flare. And if it keeps coming back it is probably due to an underlying allergy. I had this myself and it’s been very difficult throwing away so many of my products. The rash presents itself as a cross between eczema and acne but it is actually neither. If you’ve never been acne prone and didn’t have eczema as a child it’s very probable that you have/had perioral dermatitis, or periorificial dermatitis if you’ve got it on your eyes too.

    I love this video! Thank you for sharing! How do you do your make up when your skin is really bad? I find that whenever my sensitive skin flares up all my face make up clings to the dry patches and spots.

    Hi! I love everything about skincare and I did so many researches myself when I was having sudden irritations on my skin. First thing I realized was that everything that had alcohol in the first line of ingredients was bad and could cause more irritation and simply drying for the skin. So I was surprised when u mentioned SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier as it has Alcohol Denat as a 4th ingredient. I love SkinCeuticals but u still need to watch what’s in there. Clinique is great.

    I've also started having allergies, it's effecting my eyes. I have to bathe my eyes with salt water in the morning. Then at night I have eye drops, my eyes basically get dry and itchy. My throat also now acts up, and gets sore and dry. I take an antihistamine for that, but it doesn't get rid of the problem totally tho...

    Always love a good skincare video! One question - what happened to the Dr. Jart Ceramidin moisturizer? Did your skin stop liking it? It’s fragrance and retinol-free if memory serves, so somewhat comparable to the Clinique CX?

    i'd recommend seeing if you can get an allergy test at the doctors, ive seen a video where they patch test about 40 things on your back for 48 hours with the most common allergens, chemicals in skincare and makeup that you might not know causing you reactions xx
