    Usegul pattern!What is the meaning of baqueteo? What does the term denote in the context of a tumbao?

      Glad you enjoyed it! The baqueteo is the “shuffle” pattern that is done with my right hand (I’m a lefty!)…..The Tumbao is the basic/foundational pattern played within a Salsa song.

      @@RomanPercussion thanks for the quick reply! Paolo Stagnaro from Conga Chops defines a baqueteo as a pattern with all dry sounds, only closed slaps and palm/tip. Your video is the 2nd place I've seen the term baqueteo. So I was inquiring what you mean by "baqueteo". Maybe when I actually study your video, a similarity will become clear.

      Yes correct, it’s the palm tip motion or “shuffle” with your non dominant hand. In my case, it’s done with my right hand because I’m left handed.
