This is why I left Cali 14 years ago after being fire evacuated 3 times in 11 years. They won't let you clear out the brush. I got a citation for trying to clear 100' down the slop next to my property. Fire can't burn without fuel. I built homes in Alta Dena, Pasadena, ect. Home owners love large high bushes for privacy. I’m not a fan of Gavin Newsom at all, but listen to the firefighters. In 36 years, he had never seen weather conditions, such as this during a fire. People live in the automatic sprinkler system going does lower the water pressure and even if they did have better water pressure for the fires, 100 foot walls of flames.
This is climate change happening right before our eyes. Every house in California is going to need to be equipped with advanced fire defense systems that use Citrotech fire retardant if we want it to remain economically viable to offer insurance here.

It’s ironic how much media coverage these wildfires are getting and how little the flooding of western North Carolina got. Don’t get me wrong, both are tragically life changing for so many but I can’t help but feel like the victims of the flooding are being ignored, shunned & made to feel as if their lives aren’t as important since their pockets didn’t run deep. In fact, many of the flood victims were extremely poor. Unfortunately Some even below poverty level. I’m a North Carolinian however I was fortunate enough to have not been personally effected since I live in a different part of North Carolina. Many family members have volunteered their time, money & efforts to go help the victims of Helene & so I’ve personally heard heartbreaking story after Story as these victims retell their first hand experiences of that god awful time. My 💚 goes out to the ones effected by ALL tragedies, both the wildfires and the floods but it’ll never sit right with me to act as if one life is more important than another or that one life deserves more attention than another especially by the amount of money they may have to their name. In Australia we have volunteer firefighters... a lot of them are women. In ww1 and ww2 the majority of firefighters were women. Muscle is only needed for structure fires and, even then, pretty much only for fires containing stairs. You don't carry a person out of a fire unless you want them to be dead. You drag them. In tall buildings you need strength to carry equipment up multiple stairs. But... in wildfires you have two people on the hose. The biggest strength thing you do is raking... and that takes endurance. Not strength.

People live in the automatic sprinkler system going does lower the water pressure and even if they did have better water pressure for the fires, 100 foot walls of flames.
This is climate change happening right before our eyes. Every house in California is going to need to be equipped with advanced fire defense systems that use Citrotech fire retardant if we want it to remain economically viable to offer insurance here.

It’s ironic how much media coverage these wildfires are getting and how little the flooding of western North Carolina got. Don’t get me wrong, both are tragically life changing for so many but I can’t help but feel like the victims of the flooding are being ignored, shunned & made to feel as if their lives aren’t as important since their pockets didn’t run deep. In fact, many of the flood victims were extremely poor. Unfortunately Some even below poverty level. I’m a North Carolinian however I was fortunate enough to have not been personally effected since I live in a different part of North Carolina. Many family members have volunteered their time, money & efforts to go help the victims of Helene & so I’ve personally heard heartbreaking story after Story as these victims retell their first hand experiences of that god awful time. And working against gravity So it's taking time So it's not that we're out of water we have plenty of water
And like I said this was just Pacific Palisade All the fires that are downhill do not have this issue And they're still not contained There is plenty of water in the fire hydrants on the bottom of the hill

Santa Ana winds Is a strong hard dry wind that can get up to 100 mph What happens Is the hot desert wind get supercharged by the Santa Ana canyons It's like a blow dryer out here

That $17 million Wasn't a budget cut It was $17 million issued to the fire department for this year To buy uniforms and safety fire Suits
LA County is huge It's bigger than New York and New Jersey combined

In Australia we have volunteer firefighters... a lot of them are women. In ww1 and ww2 the majority of firefighters were women.
Muscle is only needed for structure fires and, even then, pretty much only for fires containing stairs. You don't carry a person out of a fire unless you want them to be dead. You drag them. In tall buildings you need strength to carry equipment up multiple stairs.
But... in wildfires you have two people on the hose. The biggest strength thing you do is raking... and that takes endurance. Not strength.
