If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).

Why your videos are not available on Spotify at the same time they are available on RUclips?
Thank you for this video. Excited you will be providing even MORE educational content! See you at Skool.
on another topic, would you say that you partnering and embracing skool is your way of "milking the cow you have been breeding", and do you worry that it may reduce the goodwill you have been creating with your audience, or not even allow newcomers to trust you, because now you do have a lot to sell (in contrast to the "i have nothing to sell you" audience)?
Atlas nerve, it includes the shoulders and neck which is why it effects both breathing and anxiety.
He addresses that towards the end… He says he likes presenting on the stage but that it’s not an event… the room is basically empty intentionally.
You were sitting in your wardrobe without a window when I found you. The videos were bad quality and unedited. Those were the best videos, pure education, no adhd edits, explaining business stuff. I like this direction.
Yes Thank you Alex to come back without all the polished editing
I agree 100% with this
100% I feel the same way.
Honestly, I avoided clicking on his thumbnails for about a year because they look too polished and I'm tired of the BS. Only discovered him because a friend told me to write a book. After that it was game over I was hooked. I don't like the polished vids.
What does ADHD edits mean
“People need to be reminded more than they need to be taught”… gold
I'd also drifted off from watching your stuff. Came back after seeing you drop several long form educational content and watched this video after some time. Happy with these choices, I will also be watching the rest. I am a business owner btw.
Me too the stupid flashy ADHD ultra high adrenaline content was driving me away, regardless of the content.
Out of curiosity, what do you do? I'm asking cause I am trying to be a business owner myself. I quit my job this year to try and make a software company
@@arkhamides quite fitting, I am a small owner of a company in which there are a few departments, I mainly work at developing tailored software solutions for our clients

Fuck yes. I’m in the same boat as your friend, I just found myself not watching it as much. The second you started educating 100% I immediately started watching again. (All the recent videos)
Same
Totally agreed
100. Personally I couldn't even look at the screen with all the stupid tiktok editing.
Same, I literally commented how I’d been watching less a few weeks ago. Perfect timing to see this video
Yea he’s been cooking lately
I also tuned out about 6 months ago, but came back 2 - 4 weeks ago. Love this style of content!
I've been following you for 2 years and I felt the same, that the content was starting to drop in quality. But this news is one of the top 5 best news of the year. Thank you
Same here, glad he made the decision to stick to Education videos 🤙
Yes, return to actual content education.
Less mass-market edu-tainment.
(But the Skool move will push it more towards beginner's entertainment.)
same here...
the first videos with alex in a "prison cage" were the greatest ones for me...
just pure content.... and also could be used as audio only ...
The comments focusing on whether there's an audience there in the room with Alex are focusing on the wrong thing. WE are his audience regardless. Brilliant and beautiful presentation of so much work!
Yes but he is lying to us! Don’t you feel offended that your hero is manipulating and lying?
It’s probably a rehearsal for an actual talk - he’s said multiple times that he practices, records, reviews, edits, redoes his presentations
@@reallyjoewillyoutdoors don’t think so cos he released the video, if it’s a rehearsal why release it wait for the actual presentation and release that one , no one release a rehearsal
@@NajaFaysal Do you actually care if people are there? It's not like he's selling us something and trying to fake status.
Did anyone see Alex launch his last book online? if you did you wouldn't acknowledging these no audience comments. This dude just told you how many subscribers he has...do you really think there is no audience? Wow.
There always has to be one in the crowd. Have a great day everyone.
Content marketing is way more powerful than paid ads

In the long run, if you get traction, yes. But ads create immediate demand.

*Creating Value* is way more powerful than paid ads. There, I fixed it for you. :)
Im glad you are doubling down on business educational content. Your business content is awesome.
Your generosity is incredible. Thank you.
I've been making content for 1.5 years and was slowly recognising these trends subconsciously. You speaking about them so clearly and systematically helped me confirm my own hypothesis. Thank you, I learnt a lot from this.
Aree bhaiya aap idhar bhi ❤
This is the sort of advice you’d pay to learn about. Unbelievably valuable if you’re a content creator.
He’s back, love it Alex
Did he go somewhere?
I have been in the market since 2023, I have a total of 450 thousand USD, with my 35 thousand invested in Bitcoin ETFs and other dividend yields I am very grateful for all the knowledge and information that you have provided me.
Absolute gold as always. Basically have to pause every 30 seconds and take notes, please keep uploading you're making me richer 😂
Jaro, why do I keep seeing you everywhere 🤣
@@schmedu_ hahaha means you’re watching the right videos ;)
You and Leila are literally changing the course of my life with the content you create. I’m part of the audience who really values the education stuff and I implement it and I see how my business changes positively. Thank you so much Alex
I am a prime example of what he was saying. I have a company doing more than 1 million in EBITDA. And I only watch his educational content like this. I was just like the guy that said he stopped watching his content cause it wasn’t resonating as much anymore.
I was watching way more of his wife’s content because of it. But I can feel even her content pushing towards the entertainment a little more which I have noticed I have been watching less of hers lately as well even though the substance is always good!
In general I don’t have time to sit down and just be entertained. If I’m going to watch a 10-50 minute video I need to learn something. Even if I don’t ever become one of his partners I have bought all his books and have paid 10k for my partner and I to go to his in person work shop because of his content like this!
You must be a natural talent. This stuff to me feels like a top actor telling people to move to Hollywood to become as actor. Nobody would do such a thing. I recommend to people not to be an entrepreneur because it’s so difficult. The ones who ignore the warnings are ready and will succeed. I’m upset by these videos as it’s better to tell people how unlikely it is they will succeed particular as we are at the end of this influencer cycle. It’s a buy at the top market right now not the beginning of a golden era of the age of social media influencers. It feels dead and old news to be chasing this sort of thing.

@@entrepreneurexperiment Define 'succeed'. It really isn't hard to earn a healthy paycheck from selling your services through social media. Become a millionaire? Most people won't. Take 3-5k in profit out of your business every month? Very doable.
Е
Absolutely correct. I dont have 1m EBITDA myself, but im an exec that runs one. All i do with my free time is watch informative videos on marketing, sales, business strategy, and product. Every day.
And just as Alex says. I also rewatch content as reminders. So watching the same tips and strategies with a different presentation is still useful to me.
Absolutely love how you teach. It's clear, concise and to the point. So much value in just 1 video and actionable items. Love your humor and your jokes too. They literally make me LOL 😆. And for the record you're handsome, which I am sure Leila tells you all the time, 😁
When you are IN IT, this video hits 100x harder. I had most of this stuff cooking in my brain before you released it (as in, I been wondering, theorizing about it). I've watched and re-watched this video like 7 times. Now THIS, is content.
Alex I am really grateful for your videos. Youve been killing it since the beginning but the past month, content has been GOLD i literally feel bad watching this stuff for free. Ive paid 1k for less informative stuff than ur free videos. God bless 🙌
This is extremely valuable. I’ve been struggling with creating content to attract a wider audience because we always look at vanity metrics like subs and views vs attracting the audience that actually makes you money.
the exact video i needed - exactly when i needed it. thank you alex.

that's great!!! we will get fully educational alex again
I felt like I was the only one who recently followed you and liked the new vids but loved the older videos even more. If YT recommends me a vid of you 2-3 years ago I'll be more likely to click than one from a few months ago because there's real tangible and applicable value in those.
Agreed
I was about to get social media marketing course but remembered Alex and Leila. They teach genuinely and with proof instead of just talking.
This video worth thousands. More than I expected. Thank you!
This was AMAZING in every way possible! Thank you
Thank you Alex and Leila - Love the content you both have been putting out lately
LOOOVVEEEEEDDDD THIS … im such a nerd for business . this was fantastic !
You certainly are one that practices what he preaches, been following you for a long time, from when you were making videos in the closet, you've helped my business grow a great amount, thank you my man
Man!!! I love that you started this again. I started feeling on myself that I don't like the content anymore, love the new old Hormozi!!!
I listen to these videos almost every day while I work (labor jobs). Thank you!
Your frequency of pumping content has increased keep it up 🔥🔥🔥
Holy cow this was helpful, appreciate you shining light on this. Implementing now!
So much value. Thank you Alex and your team 👏
Very insightful video. Thanks for sharing!
For educational videos, I feel like the research and preparation makes each minute more "nutrient-dense." I feel like I get more education (and entertainment) when someone brings up the charts, the stats, the data, etc.
I also grew (relatively) quickly in the first few years, and it was definitely a journey to later decide where to focus and what long-term vision to pursue.
I think figuring out what we're doing right can be more fun than figuring out what we're doing wrong, but can still take time. Learning to improve the process over time can be very fulfilling in its own right.
It was helpful, you experimented and they the realization hit, now you have your purpose, one thing you're going to narrow down on... Amazing you proved my theory works. Thank you
Taking RPM as the key metric for quality is genius. This video was so helpful. Clarified so much and is a permission slip. Thank you. Insanely valuable and actionable.
Great findings, thanks for sharing! One big takeaway: just do a lot more volume than everyone else and you'll get way different results from average. Also, sticking with things long term!!
Beast mode. Truly you are good at pumping quality content for your followers. Keep up the awesome work. Don't stop
These are the kinds of video I prefer the most Alex. Tons of value and still keeps me engaged without the fancy stuff
This is the format I love! Simple, non distracting and valuable AF
Thank you Mr. Hormozi for giving priceless education for free!! We really are grateful for you and your wife's efforts to help the rest of us succeed!!!
one of your best videos so far
Love this form of content! I am one of the educational crowd, and I've been following you and Layla for about six months, and get value out of all your videos. I'm in the very beginning stages of trying to create educational content for my clients, I'm an attorney, and I really appreciate anything. I learn that can save me time and money. Thank you.❤
One reason the funnel didn't drive shorts viewers to watch more long content is because you guys never put the link to the long content under your shorts. We you tell you this every time in the comments but nobody reads it. So many viewers of shorts are looking for the longer video that it came from but can't find it.
See slide @ 31:01
Yay! ❤ Love the new direction. That was full of value for me. I'm already on Kajabi but I'll apply many of the things from this video. 🎉❤
We’re the audience. This content is priceless! Alex is giving away business secrets for free! My firm has been focused on old fashioned b2b client acquisition. If we would’ve implemented some of Alex’s strategies years ago, we would’ve gone from $14M in revenue to likely double the amount. Great stuff Alex!
I agree 100% with your friend saying that, some entertaining videos were too much visually and I stopped watching every video. Now with the recent brand video and this one I feel like being back in Hormozi‘s University!! I am so happy you noticed it and pivotted ✊
Wow this is spectacular. Not only is the presentation well done but theres a literal DEMONSTRATION on so many ways to teach/present well... the vareity in format is impressive 🎉
Please make more videos like this. As an educational channel on strength training for athletes. This is stuff we've struggled with for years and this information opens a lot of new ways of thinking that have broken convention of what is NORMALLY recommended for "RUclipsrs" Thank you.
this is the type of content l've got the most value from.
I'm glad that you decided to go all in on real value content.
P.S. Looking forward to seeing you at the workshop in May.
I think this proves why you are one of the best out there. I was disengaging the last few months over the variety of content. This decision brings me back. Props to you and your team on this strategy.
Love the transition , along with the business content include mindset shifts . On a philosophic level , it goes hand in hand with business.
Keep it up Alex
I’ve read both ur books and am currently diving into ur courses. I’ve started my business but the courses have been amazing and will help me to get mine off the ground. Ur a good man and I appreciate u 💯
Thank you Alex! You could have kept this information to yourself and written a book to sell, but you were generous and gave it to us for free, because you want to help others strive towards reaching your level of success. I have a lot of resepct for you, and am so glad that I subscribed to your channel.
Went from straightforward to following shitty marketing trends back to straightforward. 👏 👏 👏 thank you for returning to real content we came here for. I hope you deliver
This is my dream! Blessings to everyone reading this! We can do it!
Man, this video hits exactly on target. So much learned from you. Thank you very much, waiting for your next book!
I really like the content with the captions lmao. Educational but also entertaining. But I also love this content too because it’s just as educational
I'm 11 minutes in, this is easily one of the most insightful and helpful videos I've ever seen in terms of being analytically driven to understand the complete and total picture of who to serve, how to serve them, why it'll be better this way. That's the most important aspect of business. Seeing you completely go over all the data, see what the actual effects of your work and videos and books, and all your content and to show how it's now going to be better going forward since you understand the adjustment of your content going forward. I truly don't think this video could be any possibly better. We fall into that category, and this video has been a tab for about a week now(yes, I'm a tab guy like that). But I'm glad I'm eating dinner and watching this. It was/is absolutely well worth this. It makes sense why you are such a savage in the business world. You have a big beautiful brain my friend! Thank you for all you do, God Bless You, Leila, and your teams!
This is pure gold coach Mozi!!Thanks a lot!!❤
Ah! I watch only your educational videos. So great news😊🎉
Hey man, keep the educational content coming!
i LOVE that we´ll get more in-depth business stuff!
Spend $4 Mil, gain 7.8 Mil followers...Got It! Let's go
I am a business owner and I really like the "Brutally honest advice" ones. I wouldn't really consider it entertainment because I have learned so much from those videos. I really like this new direction of content and switching away from the pure entertainment vidoes. But I would still like to see the "Brutally honest advice for your poorer self" ones. The one you posted called "watch this if you want to find your purpose in life" is the "style" of content that I like the most. No hard edits, no sound effects, no fancy stuff just you sitting in a room talking
pure ****ing gold alex, wonderful video man, thank you
I don't understand why so much people in the comments are frustrated saying he's "faking" it, he's literally giving legendary information.
hormozi, you should post the video in the skool games, many people would see this high value content and trust more in you. Nice video, you are incredible. 🔥
Great video. I get more shorts notifications from him than ever.
I wonder if that will change? Of he’s just making them more educational.
I do think this is a great move. And an amazing analysis. Well done
Loved the title of the video 7.8 Million in "40 Months", yes remember 40 months. It's not magic that will happen in a day or weeks! It will take time, and it will test your patience and endurance. Just continue the journey, my friend!
Omg 😳 this is amazing and gives me a solid idea to improvement. I copied to watch it again and take notes so that I can implement. Thank You.
This is a very underrated video, this video is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars
This is the greatest RUclips channel ever made for anybody interested in business bar none.
Best video I’ve seen on content creation, congrats Alex! 🎉
Good stuff Alex!
we love the funnel at the end!! great strategy! and video pitch format!
Well today I learned I fall into the education > entertainment camp. Thank you Alex!
AMAZING VALUE! THANKS. I really love the content type you've chosen for future videos.
Solid lessons! I am going to be adding them in combination with your “Hook, retain, reward” approach for my content.
Best news this year. More business content from Alex.
Huge value on the long pieces because I personally felt like your friend on feeling a bit lost. With the hyper business longer content I feel like its a fun study session that I learn and grow so much from therefore my time spent learning from you is so effective 100%. So huge thank you Alex.
SO happy hearing the move you're making to higher level content again. YES!
Your educational content is way better and more useful, keep it coming!
I absolutely love this
Been struggling because I want to do education content, but everyone is talking about edutainment
Man this was insane. I needed this so much right now!!!
Appreciate this as I am definitely here for the Education not the entertainment!
I dont know if anyone is in the crowd and thats ok.
First hormozi video I’ve watched all the way through in 2 years. Love the refocus on education and pure value. 🤘
Absolutely fantastic video and very timeline for us as we aim to grow the youtube channel! Thank you.
Love this. A guy who literally created his success through a combination of faith and tenacity - he put in the work, took a beating, learned lessons and willed his way to become a success - and is paying it forward for others to become the best versions of themselves! Well done Alex - I appreciate what you do to give back.
This is probably the most valuable piece of content I have ever consumed. For context: I own a "growth partner agency" (I guess you could say) tailored to help online apparel brands looking to take their business to 7 & 8 figures/year. I am backlogging content now.
Thanks so much for this.
You are completely right. I’ve been a fan of yours before you became mainstream, and recently I haven’t been watching your videos a lot because they don’t resonate with me. And I’m way more into business now that before.
A note: your sales videos are top notch and my favorites. But this video was pure gold.
Alex, u were so right.. when u focus down solely on business i would watch it so many times. it resonates me
I’m 8 mins in and can’t wait to finish the rest. I love these kind of videos you do (presentation style /educational) and it’s so awesome you’re going all in on it. LOVE IT!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I found this very helpful 🙌🏽 here’s my key takeaway:
If you want to change behavior, you need to shorten the latency behind what data you’re tracking and to pair a quality with a quantity metric. 🤯
As a college science education evaluator and consultant, this was most helpful!
I love it! Thank you! When my business is big enough. I will be reaching out
Love this - been watching since the closet studio. Stopped watching as much for a while and just came back recently
