Great track, all your adjectives - cool, thumpin', rocking, fun etc. The lyrics are fun too, you can entertain yourself for hours interpreting them. Thanks!
This is another tune from the Venus & Mars album. It’s based on several Marvel comic characters. Both Paul McCartney and John Lennon shared a love of marvel comics and I rather suspect he secretly quite enjoyed bopping along to this one.
Such a crazy song. So it seems that some Marvel villains are trying to convince our narrator that his girl is also a villain and they persuade him to ride along with them to check it out. Though the robbery is referred to in the past tense, it could be referring to her involvement in its planning -- it's due to happen at 2:45. Oh, but it turns out, she's an undercover cop! But instead of being horrified by her deceit, he's relieved that she isn't a villain after all. Which begs the question, who is this guy who runs with villains, but is disturbed by the idea of dating one?
Its off the Wings over America album. Great album. The thing I really liked about that album, though the studio versions were good, the band really rocked on the live stuff more.
This might be the first track that's actually noticeably faster than the studio version! And while the instrumentation really rocks, the vocals sound a jit hurried to me, especially the spoken lines. I think I'd actually prefer this song in the slower version.
I love this version!

Now I need to hear that
Great performance, close to the studio version but live atmosphere adds a bit humph, and the bass lines sound great, as may be expected.
bass sounds killer
