@@FreerkHoltes Maybe the solution to automation would be hiring NPCs to do it for you, but that would involve money, and then the economy gets even more sophisticated...
Thanks for giving us a feel for the scale of these gigs with the crane and the Freighter. Looks like there’s enough room for a 120mm and a tumblebox for ammo, a few pallets worth of stuff as a supply cache for ships and littoral shenanigans. Or just a few APCs for sailors to pour out of a battleship and onto, for inshore raiding. Even without the new big logi ship, ironships can now have a lot more transport agility so long as the waters around are well defended.
Be careful with the barge's ramp and the oil platform's ramp. If they are too close the vehicle physics can glitch out, potentially sending you into the water. Fortunately you do not have to drive all the way onto the platform to repair it. I built a couple last night and it took several tries to line it up right. The game cannot decide if the vehicle is on the barge's ramp or the platform. The ramp is supposed to pass through the surface you are docking with, but the oil platform has a more complicated shape. Of course the tight spaces doesn't help.
We'll probably need more coal production in the game now that we have so many important recipes that consume them. I really wish they add automatic coal mine like other world structure mines.
I lost two CVs trying to repair an oil rig because the ramp of my barge glitches through the rig and when I drove the CV off it got stuck and slid off in to the water. The first one I had loaded with all my construction mats when it fell in the water, the 2nd time I left the mats in the barge until I was safely on the platform. 3rd attempt I got on the rig only to find out my tech lvl wasn't high enough to repair the rig🤦. Took me an hour of time wasted on stupid rig.
The battle around oil rigs is going to be intense
Would be a nice quality-of-life feature if the platform defaulted back to producing heavy oil when it has
That would be awesome. But somehow I don't feel the devs want too much automation.
Pain is the name of the game... pain and suffering

Now my straw reaches acrooooss from the town base, and starts to drink your oil. I... drink... your... heavy oil!
Your videos are awesome for new players. Thanks a lot!
You are welcome!
They need an Oil Tanker Ship now
That and Coal Ships/Barges
That would be cool and actually make sense now, yeah
Only question will this effect the trout population?
Yes

I had issues driving up the ramp at my first three attempts/takes. My CV just disn't have the power to overcome the ramp backwards.
Freerk I will never be able to pronounce your name correctly but you do so much for us poor logi mains
o7
That is okay, half the time even I don't manage to pronounce it correctly :D
I predict that the US clans will be guarding the Offshore oil rigs

Thank you for the information! will be interested in submarines. What kind of fuel do they use? Heavy oil?
Yes sir, heavy oil for all the large ships
Can I load conatiner to barch?

Yeah, t he ramps on the oilrigs are pain, especially because of the low power that the CV has
