I wish people who don’t like metal would give it a shot... the stress relief and mental healing it does for me is unmatched to any other genre
Its just everyone paints the genre with one brush. Metalcore bands like this and alot others actually have a wide mix of other subs genre influences that make it have just about something for everyone. Like fans of the genre still have no clue the history of the subgenre with the more core influences that come hardcore punk pma messages. Its a genre that you have to find these days. Most the people nowadays want super mellow songs, like joji, which is ok, so they get discouraged by it because its too loud. Then there's the elitists that ruin all of metal, like hell, even how flexible metalcore is, people are labeling it as nu-metal in a negative way, even though its a subgenre thats been around for a couple decades now. Which best part, everything from lamb of God, kill switch engaged, the ghost inside, and older stick to your guns, all fall under the same subgenre. BUT the best way to getting people into the genre, TAKE THEM TO SHOWS. Seeing the bands live is the best way hands down.

there is NO OTHER music that is as good as metal for relieving stress. I am 58 yrs old and everyone tells me I am "super chill" and thats because I crank this stuff daily. Reminds me of Christina Applegate in "Dead to me"
Preach. I just found out who ‘Olivia Rodrigo’ was - the next young pop teen star and to each their own with music tastes, but personally it sounds so sappy and whiny, that lacks true emotion. Then again that demographic targets teenage moody girls in high school so it’s not like I can relate or anything.
