Joe Satriani - Friends Live Namm 2005 (D'Addario - Planet Waves)
Incredible, amazing . The bass player and drummer "wow", Joe is unreal.
Mr. Satriani is not only one of the best but also one of the kindest guys in the world of rock music. Always an inspiration to me.
I discovered him hearing the Guitar Players soundpage in 1987. It was "The chrush of love", still one of my favorites, and I still like his music. Great musician and great person. I saw him 3 times in Berlin an can call myself lucky.
Friends is absolutely great song.
Thank you Joe.... 🎸🎼🎵🎶🔈🔉🔊
The Great Matt Bissonette on bass ! (y)
What a perfect song, everything in it is perfect... love it.
As happy as a child!
lovely melody
imprecionante!!!!
é impressionante
2020, kick asssssss
This is the best and most unique I've ever heard him play my favorite song. Bravo Joe, bravo!
there's something in small venues like this one that makes magic happens
Pra mim Joe Satriani é o melhor Guitarrista em vida 🎯🎯👌🎸💣💥🏃
After years listening and viewing Satrinai live performances on youtube I have discovered that he is human after all 0:51
maybe so ... but he is still surfing with the alien ;)
I think he intentionally played a few wrong notes after that to make the original wrong note a lot more bearable. Reminds of the jazz guitarist meme. It was pretty clever I think
@@ahnafsakib Satch is kinda free-spirited and a bit sloppy when he plays live. he's not a hyper-perfectionist like Eric Johnson. He likes to have a good time
@@bitrexgm even EJ miss pick his trademark licks. His perfectionism is about tone instead of “no make mistakes” when playing. Saw it in the G3 and his solo concert. Not that it matters though. He has to have certain amount of wraps on the tuners and his fuzz has to have certain battery etc..
And yes I agree Satch is free spirited and love seeing him play like that. Gilbert is the same.
Petrucci is probably the only example of “no mistakes from start to finish” live guitarist.
@@thomasjensen9745 lol! Stole my comment 🏄♂️👽
02:07 that's right camera man !!

It puts you in a good mood this song ..good bless you joe for share this magic with us!👍
Legendariously
Love this song, love this album. Totally rediscovered Satriani. I only heard his 'shred' classics before purchasing this album at a small cd shop.. I had only heard the title track, and decided to give it a chance. The Extremist is such a good album on every level!!
It's elevator music.
@@pauljordan4452 indeed. Very good elevator music
cool joe
✨👍❤️👍✨
🇹🇭
Is there anybody better? WOW
Play that song.... the one that makes me go all night long. Actually that song for me is Always with me always with u
@danbenkert Thanks :)
I miss him using the shiny Peavey JSX amps!
Great footage Thanks a bunch and great FB page.
With Bissonette on bass you don't need a second guitar ...
Joe struggled the entire event trying to get his sound right. I think its not only the venue but also the Peavey JSX's he used at that time. Plus, the effects he used seems to struggle while he played. I however am glad that he switched back the Marshall. It just sounds better to him than the Peavey.
4:31 Thought they were going to start playing 'Flying In a Blue Dream' for a few seconds there
typical satriani crowd...just standing there.
This is wonderful, but I will always favor the Joe, Stu Hamm, Jonathan Mover era of live performances. I saw some magical shows in California from 1988 through the early 90's.
Is that Stu Hamm on bass?
+MC Hammer its Matt Bissonettte
+Marcel Tanaka cheers mate
