Depends heavily on what the droprate and the bad luck protection is like. If it's something like 10% drop rate basic, and increase odds by 5% per fail so you're virtually guaranteed to get the item same year if you do it every day, then it's good. If they've "massively increased" the droprate from 1% to 1.5% and then add 0.1% for every time you fail? Then it's a complete shitshow.
Honestly, great update. I always felt inclined to do it on 20+ alts which had me playing for like 8 hours straight with the queues in mind, now I won't feel inclined to do that.
An improvement that also helps those enjoying MoP: Remix as we won't have to alt farm that boss.

Got the mount look on my first try.
Would have preferred it to be on the vendor. Great, Have to go back into a daily dungeon I have everything else from for an RNG chance at another cosmetic since I'm a collector. People (perhaps myself) will still farm more than once a day. The big love rocket is the worst, even with the improvement, it's eluded me each year, alt army doesn't always help with these new holiday fomo dropping well it's better than not having the alts but no guarantee.
Does this also apply to the scythe? Couldnt care less about the armor but ive been after that scythe for 3 years in a row with no luck
Not sure WHY there is so much gripe when it comes to the one a day thing. They clearly stated that the drop chance has increased and will each time you do not get the item. I'd rather have that than spend an hour getting on alts to farm every single day. Can't please everyone it seems. Gotta complain about something :/

Does the one character per day drops include the items or does it only apply to the mount armor?
We guaranteed to get the mount by the end of the event? I have 12 alts and managed to brute force a few of the seasonal mounts. Would vastly prefer only doing one a day but only if the numbers are better.

Unsure what I think of the alt change, I like the fact that it gets a higher drop rate, but still not sure.

Why is the armor in a satchel? Not the farming nightmare again. I honestly prefer to spend 50k gold on this drake armor like I did with the lunar festival drake armor.
Same, but then you're gonna have people who somehow don't have 50k gold complain about it, even though you can get 50k in like a week
@@DankMemes-xq2xm im on the new end so, 50k is a lot to spend on something small like that rather than gearing etc (or saving up to be able to buy a few pieces in the new xpac). But even then, its *so* small of a thing that, theres really no reason to make it missable.
Yeah, everything should be bought with gold. Then I can buy a few wow tokens, buy it all, and have no reason to play at all.

Warbands are alt friendly as in they make alts easier to level, gear, and maintain. They make the OPTION of having alts easier.
The old way, it made alts feel mandatory if you wanted a better chance at the rare items.
Now do the updated loot system for the raid mounts.

they need to add this to raid bosses too... 300+ ulduar clears no mount 250+ ultraxion kills no mount 300 throne of the 4 winds clears no mount

Have they said anything more about what the new Holiday Event was? I remember reading something where people had said Blizzard mentioned a new holiday was coming out sometime this year, but as far as I know, nothing has been discovered in the datamine? I know they just recently compleyely changed Love in the Air and Hallow's Eve, but still nothing on the new event. And I can't think of what could be new in the second half of the year, unless they plan to extend Winter Veil into new events for other religions.

They still haven't learned their lesson, putting an item like this behind purely RNG limited time event like they did with Arfus, then said that it wasn't the best thing.
I love it. Keeps me interested year after year.
I believe they said in an interview somewhere that their design philosophy is that you should be able to reasonably get all the rewards in a given year, and then look forward to NEW rewards added next year rather than just grinding the same old item due to bad luck. On the other hand, they said that BEFORE the latest run of holiday changes which flew in the face of that philosophy, so who knows?
When did we start pretending rng was always a bad thing lol. Not everyone should have everything, even if it's down to luck.
@@pamdabeep the holiday items should be easy to obtain there is no fucking point at all why it should take 10+ years to get a drop. WoW is the only game that has no bad luck system in place when it comes to rare items.

I loved playing my alts. What's the point of them after Warbands? I've been worried about changes like this since they announced warbangs. I'm sure I'm in the minority and some giga chad is gonna shit their opinion about it into a reply to this comment, but this kind of shit kills an entire way to play this game for collectors. Collecting isn't an end-goal, it's an activity. Taking away the activity makes it pointless.
i dont know if this is controversial, but i hope that the love rocket mount (valentine event) does no get easier to get, it will kinda nerf its cool valvue (that is a mount i dont own btw)
It was the first thing to change and it is still near impossible to get. And I don't know how it has a cool value. There are other mounts similar. All it is is a reskin very few use. And no one cares about anyone using it. It creates an environment that is unhealthy. A player who ha splayed for 15 years should not be shafted from getting the mount when some new player who just started playing a month prior gets the drop because of random luck. A lot of people have given up on getting it because the change was so dumb. Instead of making it easier, they made it harder.
No your wrong rng may someday be the death of this game
@@databobproject some things need to be rare and hard to get, most things should not be, but if everything is to easy to get, or does not require that much time, then nothing in the game will be seen as that rare or that impressive to have, and instead be kinda meh, there is reason why mounts like the Bronze Drake aint seen as that cool by the community, when Time-Lost Proto-Drake is seen as pretty aawesome, even tho you could very much argue that in design the Bronze Drake is awesome.
This btw come from a avid mount and achievement farmer, i do both know the pain of bad RNG and long grinds, and i dont think most things should be that, but i do think SOME things should.

It got from 0.03% to around 0.4, a massive increased, as it is time based, that is not bad, other stuff still need to be rare so it is epic.
If nothing = epic.
Player ≠ epic.
Most player want = epic.

why would they make it ZERO chance on alts... . so no point in having alts then? at all?
do this system but make alts count as if you ran it another day with your 'main' toon and did not get it..
altoholics = happy (current system penalizes your most dedicated players who have numerous alts =x )
non alt players = happy because of increased odds

Horrible change, All i have wanted for YEARS is the scythe and the enchantment. This will make it significantly harder for people to obtain now. thanks blizz.
I think that once a day limitation only applies to armor transmogs. You can still farm scythe the old way.

Yeah no wonder why this drake and the pterodactyl one never got selected for a badass reskin prize like curve or gladiator or anything of big importance. What was in the creators minds when they approved these 2 as mounts I will never know.
I mean fantasy has a lot of dragon types and they could easily create a new design for a dragon.
