I think part of the reason why Ogerpon likes us more than the siblings is coz we're an outsider, practically like her original owner.
This is the most logical explanation for this I’ve seen so far, along with “Kieran wasn’t there when you were retrieving the masks.” People who solely blame it on “protagonist power” clearly haven’t given more than 5 seconds’ worth of thought into the story.
Then, maybe in the Indigo Disk she will learn to be less racist

If we do get a Paldea Legends game, I bet we'd be able to see who Ogerpon's original trainer looked like as well as get some more backstory about him & Ogerpon.
(Maybe the storyline I mentioned in the last sentence will be a possible side story, with the main story probably likely to be the Area Zero expedition team entering Area Zero, Heath meeting Terapagos, maybe even if possible, Sada/Turo successfully retrieving Koraidon/Miraidon from the past/future & even them saving said legendary from death when the fourth research station collapsed. Maybe we could also choose which story for the Koraidon/Miraidon thing we'd like to see, with one option being the Koraidon storyline & the other one being the Miraidon storyline. I might be getting a little off topic here, though, so I will just end it here.)

My theory on why Ogrepon likes you is because you are an outsider. Remember, both Ogrepon and her trainer were outsiders in Kitagami originally.
@@HypercomboProduction I don't think that alone is enough of a reason. After all, Kitakami is a touristic location and probably gets a few visitors during the festival of masks every year. Assuming that's the only time Ogerpon comes down from her cave (she knows the locals hate her but it's safe to use the teal mask around them) she probably sees outsiders pretty often.

You know, since Ogrepon refuses to listen to Carmine and has a problem with Kiki. I know the theory has some holes, I was just theorizing why Ogrepon liked your character the most out of the 3 friends.
@@HypercomboProduction technically they aren't, they just study abroad. We don't know how long they've been at Blueberry Academy, but Kieran says he used to visit the cave pretty often, so Ogerpon definitely has seen him before.
Ogerpon immediately became one of my favorite Legendaries of all time. It’s adorable, it’s super huggable, the tera masks is a cool concept and I just love the fact that despite its cute design, it will murder you with a spiked mace.

There is an unspoken rule in the design department where a new Pokémon cannot be too cool or too cute in its design. Ogerpon has a cute design but it also has a really cool mask that it wears in battle. Always a balance.

I think maybe Meowscarada would act more humanlike than catlike in the anime, if Liko's Sprigatito does end up fully evolving into Meowscarada. Of course, it'd also have the necessary magician characteristics, since it is a magician cat, after all. Just my personal predictions. (Haven't even watched the new anime yet, I've had no interest in doing so... But maybe I will one day.)
The deal with the DLC is that everyone there is an asshole or an idiot, usually both. That’s why they demonise that little thing and worship the asshole trio. Ogerpon likes you because you’re the only person that doesn’t suck.
To be fair if you saw someone standing over the dead bodies of three other people with a bloody stick, you'd get nervous and try to get rid of them as well.

I loved Ogrepon, little gal is adorable, my only theory as to why anyone would be afraid of her is if she used to overtly carry the giant cudgel instead of only bringing it out for the move...as for Kieran, I feel like we are watching that boy's villain origin story here. As for the playing the DLC I showed restraint, went in with just a level 65 skeledirge and used mons I caught there.
I completely forgot that so I went in with my team and was so confused about level 71 Corpish and others.

I don’t think anyone should be that down bad for a fight and towards the end Nemona’s behavior went a little into the Yandere territory of obsession with our characters. I’ll take the slightly racist Asian girl who warms up to us or the camera girl vs Nemona.

If you use Facade in DPPt, the sprite will go up by a pixel, meaning you can potentially make your Pokémon's sprite go entirely offscreen! Altho I think this last scenario is only possible if you hack the game since Facade only has 32PP

It said that the Villagers were terrified because those two *"looked so different from them"* (both wording mean different things).
This difference mentioned here could easily be caused by skin color or facial & body structure (similar to how Asian people have a different face structure than Western people)
It was mentioned that ogrepon’s trainer was a giant. Not like a true giant, but that he was basically the Shaquille O’Neil of Pokémon. The dude was large AND jacked, straight up giga chad didnt even care that no one liked him. Ogrepon was a bit more natural, seeing as she is a legendary Pokémon.

I enjoyed the DLC a lot. The story there was good and Ogrepon is adorable! Yet as I finished the story. I can understand why Kieran there would become well.. the way he ends up now. As well as why people hated Ogrepon in the beginning. Either way I'm glad I got myself a Mightyena.. my favorite dog pokemon of Gen 3.

Never did I think Noble would mispronounce a name with Gaelic origin. Kieran (the Anglicized version of O'Ciarán) is pronounced like "Keer-awn" and not "Kai-Ran". Also Carmine (kärmīn) is a long I sound because English decided to make sense for once. I hate my language so much.

What I like about the DLC is that I feel Kitakami is Pokemon's rated E for everyone version of Hinamizawa from Higurashi. Seriously think about it there are many similarities.

You know, I feel like no one understood the story and based it all on the ending without seeing Kieran going from a shy boy in the beginning to an angsty teen by the end, Carmine staying the same throughout the entirety of the dlc and only having a change of heart at the very end, and Ogerpon beeting up the loyal three with the towns people not knowing why Ogerpon, who's wearing a somewhat scary looking teal mask, is beeting up these three pokemon and thinking those three pokeon saved the town, and most importantly we still have another half of a dlc to go through and many mysteries to be solved scooby doo style.
Kieran is still that cute shy boy to me.
