How did I only just see this! Love Vincent Pitisci’s cards. These colours are so cool. I’m glad you got hold of a deck. I do like the tea stained deck, too.
Both of his decks are awesome! Love his decks. What I love the most is the shuffleability (is that a word?). Plus the fantastic muted background. ❤️❤️ He has a video on the changes he made in his deck on his YT channel.
I got lucky and ended up with the 1970 ed in the two-part box from Ebay. I have several vintage decks and I love them! Glad you found Vincent. He's a good guy! I have his first Marseille but I know I'll get this and also want Black Keys. Thanks for sharing, it's beautiful!
@@the_hermits_cave It is! My copy is in excellent condition. And I noticed when I got it out today that the two extra cards are blank. Printed before they started adding title cards and advertising, even.
So beautiful. I have a 1JJ Swiss from the 70's. It's kind of beaten up but I still love it. Vincent Pitisci has done a wonderful job with this version. If I hadn't already "Santa'd" myself so thoroughly this year I'd probably rush right out and buy it. I actually like all of Pitisci's decks. The one with the Black Majors is gorgeous. This one is stunning - I love the colors and the drawings are so sharp. It's wonderful. Thanks for sharing it with us, Simon.
Hi Simon, The 1JJ Swiss was my first tarot deck, purchased probably mid 1980's. It was so much fun to see these new beautiful colors. I may have to get this one!
WOW! What a fantastic High Priestess, possibly my favourite ever! Love the muted colours and would love it more if 'aged' - vintage style - would be perfect apart from the 'Pips Problem' for me. Perhaps he could illustrated the pips in the same style too...that would be a wonder.
I love vintage looking decks. I got Rider Waite with keywords vintage look deck. And I edged it in metallic gold and it looks older. My all time favorite.
I do not own one Marseille deck as of yet Simon, this one is quite intriguing to be honest. I do love the muted colours. But I think my fave so far, that you have done a walk through on, it the deck by Naipes Artisanos...That may be the one I want as my first Marseille deck. I have put that one on my wish list..... (it's Katie from a Fountain Pen awakening BTW) 😀
I still have my 1JJ - it was my first tarot that I got at Spencer's Gifts at the age of 13 in 1979. It's a US Games version printed in 1974. I think I need this one, though - it's so pretty.
I don't own any of these decks. The tea stained one is lovely. The new one you received has a gorgeous color pallette. The high priestess & heirophant look like they follow the same art style well. Enjoy & thanks for sharing. Sorry about all the stikes happening.

Love Vincent's work he's done a really good job with the HP and the hierophant. X
This is the first deck of his that I’ve come across, and I have to say I’m pretty impressed!
@The Hermit’s Cave he does a TDM which I think is based on the grimaud which is also really well done with a great colour pallet :)
Just saw your review on my IJJ SWISS deck. Thank you. I'm glad you like it!
I love it! 🙏🏼

Like you my first deck was the 1JJ. We have the same collection. I adore Vincent’s deck. ❤ the extras. The CS is a very close second.
He’s done a sterling job

That’d be cool, but he’s very much about the Marseille system so it’s doubtful
These decks are gorgeous

Just won that deluxe set on ebay for a 10er. Can't wait for it to come 😅

It seems to be many peoples first deck, especially if
you bought a deck in the late 70s or 80s
