  • Hello, video taken from the Tourism folder of the ATI Video card driver disk from my ATI Rage 128. On the strenght of the three Canada tourism videos I am visiting Canada this year 2011 in May. No copyright infringement intended I just think everyone should see how a good tourism video is made. My only regret is It took me this long to visit. :-)

I had the ATI Rago Pro with gigantic 4 MB. This video left me a big impression about Canada when I watched it the first time in '98. Before that, I had almost no idea about Canada, I thought it was just a big Igloo. I immediately fell in love with the country. We are talking about times before the internet era.
Watching this video was one of the moments where you would turn up your speakers to max, so every one could see your PC is capable of full motion video playback!

You spoken my heart out here.......Exactly same emotions and days went in past when I had that CTX 19inch monitor and ATI card in it..........Big deal that was for 98. Had always loved Canada ever since but never been able to get thru the PR process though initiated many a times........not sure if there would be any luck but wish to see Canada once or maybe someday kids be there on my behalf.

Lucky you.........Never been able to complete the PR process since then, always left it midway for one or the other reasons...... same intentions after watching this clip during 97-98.

Wonderfull to see this again after 26 years! This truly was/is true example of how promotional videos should be made. Still have to visit though, but will be doing so soon.

OMG the nostalgia! I too was looking for this video, brings me back to my 20's when I was just fascinated watching this quality video on my poor CRT screen... Yes, it came with the ATI card, of which possession I was very proud... hahaha thanks!

Demo it on a 14" AST CRT with a P120 now that's showing off. 👌🏼
Great for video demonstration at the time.

I remember watching this video back in the day. My partner was Canadian and I was thinking about emigrating out there. I wonder what life would have been like had I done it. 2m42 is where it really got me excited. Now I look back at places like Niagara and the Eaton Center and think ‘I’ve been there’.

@@INHDaily Indeed it was the best quality and a high water mark when on demo for the customer 😀. Today it is now mediocre.

    I know, and I understand :P.
Tell me, do I remember it well ? Silver CD with big, red sign "ATi Technologies Inc." ? :)

While I liked the video my RageIIC had it listed on the box "drivers included for OpenGL"...
Which the card was not capable of running (no drivers either).
Since then I shy away from either AMD or ATI...
    Which I'm ok with.
