- Hello, video taken from the Tourism folder of the ATI Video card driver disk from my ATI Rage 128. On the strenght of the three Canada tourism videos I am visiting Canada this year 2011 in May. No copyright infringement intended I just think everyone should see how a good tourism video is made. My only regret is It took me this long to visit. :-)
I had the ATI Rago Pro with gigantic 4 MB. This video left me a big impression about Canada when I watched it the first time in '98. Before that, I had almost no idea about Canada, I thought it was just a big Igloo. I immediately fell in love with the country. We are talking about times before the internet era.
Watching this video was one of the moments where you would turn up your speakers to max, so every one could see your PC is capable of full motion video playback!
You spoken my heart out here.......Exactly same emotions and days went in past when I had that CTX 19inch monitor and ATI card in it..........Big deal that was for 98. Had always loved Canada ever since but never been able to get thru the PR process though initiated many a times........not sure if there would be any luck but wish to see Canada once or maybe someday kids be there on my behalf.
thank you !!! after watching this video I decided to move to Toronto from Ukraine and in September, 2000 I did it !
Lovely country Canada is.
Lucky you.........Never been able to complete the PR process since then, always left it midway for one or the other reasons...... same intentions after watching this clip during 97-98.
Wonderfull to see this again after 26 years! This truly was/is true example of how promotional videos should be made. Still have to visit though, but will be doing so soon.
@@zeboe visit, you'll not regret it!
I used to have an ATI card with this video. So nice to be able to see it again. Thanks for posting.
OMG the nostalgia! I too was looking for this video, brings me back to my 20's when I was just fascinated watching this quality video on my poor CRT screen... Yes, it came with the ATI card, of which possession I was very proud... hahaha thanks!
Demo it on a 14" AST CRT with a P120 now that's showing off. 👌🏼
Great for video demonstration at the time.
Ah ATI Rage memories xD
First I saw this clip in 1998. I took this cd in my hand but I didn't have that video card. Tnx
thetiar09 worked on me. I did visit Canada eventually in 2011. Fantastic.
i have the red ati cd in my handy right now XD great memories! my first 3d graphic card ever, a ATI RAGE 2 +DVD with 4 MB Vram . i bought it 1997 for 250 german marks. two days later i bought an Creative Voodoo Blaster 2 12MB (3DFX voodoo²)for 600 germen marks. after this my system rules!! it was a Pentium 133 with 16MB EDO ram, 850MB HDD, 8X cd-rom and this two graphic cards XD on the ATI cd Rom are even more Videos, i think 8-10
A phenomenal filming and editing! Still a reference for videographers today (year 2020)!
I would agree on this. Makes you want to go visit Canada!
I remember this clip added to driver CD for my very first graphic card. It was bought in 1997.
Yes. It was on the ATI series of graphics card driver CD for quite a while.
I remember watching this video back in the day. My partner was Canadian and I was thinking about emigrating out there. I wonder what life would have been like had I done it. 2m42 is where it really got me excited. Now I look back at places like Niagara and the Eaton Center and think ‘I’ve been there’.
Oh, yes! I used to have this ATI CD, but lost it somewhere in da house. Glad to see the video again. I hope I will visit Ontario one day. Greetings from the Czech Republic!
The quality you see is its maximum. Thanks
Now it looks blurry and out of pixels.........but at that time, it was a proof of video clarity ....... lol
@@INHDaily Indeed it was the best quality and a high water mark when on demo for the customer 😀. Today it is now mediocre.
bravo1412. Fantastic setup.
I had this Driver Disk too, and I just remembered about the video. I was searching 2 hours today for the disk, but no ideea, it's a long time since last time I have seen it. I desperately need this video at original quality. Anybody can help me ? Thank you.
I know, and I understand :P.
Tell me, do I remember it well ? Silver CD with big, red sign "ATi Technologies Inc." ? :)
While I liked the video my RageIIC had it listed on the box "drivers included for OpenGL"...
Which the card was not capable of running (no drivers either).
Since then I shy away from either AMD or ATI...
Which I'm ok with.
No bother mate. Canada is worth the visit. Worth making one to get tourists to Ireland? Czech Rep?.
Do you have original MPG files in higher quality?
These are the original MPG uploaded direct too RUclips, no further higher quality is available. Probably just like you I remember them being better! Thanks for the comment.
OK, thank you :)
Man! I got the same problem! I've lost my CD too (from Rage IIC AGP), and now I'm looking for this everywhere! Have you found antything ?
DRCHRISTIANMD, do you have the cd ?
I searched everywhere and found nothing! It makes me angry. :-(
I don't remember exactly.
Not 2020 say 1998
