Muraco was my guy. He was one of my favorites in the 80s, and still is.
Don Muraco was definitely The man back then. The first and Real THE ROCK. I got a chance to meet him in a bar in Baltimore and my brother was outside and he was the biggest Don Muraco fan that has ever been. I went in the bar and told him about my brother and he walked outside and met my brother and took pictures with my brother and that was about almost 30 years ago and my brother still tells everyone about the night he met Don Muraco and I am so happy he made my brothers day. Muraco was a legend. Great on the mike and in the ring.
I never got the chance to email Warrior and let him know that he changed my life for the better with his videos.
I go back to them every once in a while as a reminder to get the most out of my life and not succumb to whining and making excuses.
Rest in Peace. There will never be another quite like The Warrior!

No, my friend, it's not just your opinion. I fully agree with you-Don Muraco has been, by far, one of the most over-looked Wrestlers ever! When we look back at what he's contributed to Wrestling, it's an absolute embarrassment to Wrestling, to overlook somebody of his Caliber!
Was he really from Hawaii? If so, is it possible that hurt him somehow...maybe having to go back and forth for family or whatever. It's so far out from easter wrestling hubs, it's like being in Egypt (mileage-wise).
@@teller1290 Yes, he is from Hawaii, still lives there to this day. That's a tough flight to show up to sign autographs in New York or Florida....that's why you rarely see him at wrestling conventions these days...
Muraco was shit on the mic though; and that makes or breaks a wrestler.
Like Piper said on Muraco's pit (or whatever it was) "well for one thing, I DON'T STUTTER like you!"
Piper and Hogan OWNED the mic, it's why they were the leaders of the pack, while Muraco didn't even get a spot in Piper's group on the cartoon "Rock&Wrestling."
@@SovereignStatesman yeh, I can't argue that. And I grew up in '60s and early '70s when the 🎤 was everything (Flair, Ole, Arn, Blackjack Mulligan, Paters, J. Valentine, Super D, Paul Ellering, James J. Dillon, Freebirds, etc).

Outlaws, renegades, rebels, all terms that could also describe Warrior. Everyone who has followed this channel for any length of time misses him immensely. A true one of a kind. @@hymansahak181 Actually, Gorilla Monsoon and Vince, Jr. referred to his dad Rocky Johnson as "The Rock" years earlier except it was just a nickname as opposed to his ring name.
Don Muraco only had the "Rock" name in his baby face run during his last year in the WWF ... To me he is and always will be in my opinion Don "The Magnificent" Muraco

One of my favorite Muraco promos was a promo with Mean Gene where Muraco gives his interview with his mouth stuffed with food and a cheeseburger in his hand.

Not one bad thing to say about Don Muraco, or, of course, about Sting. That's really cool. The only thing is that he's almost shouting, instead of talking in a lower, normal voice. Other than that, a great video!

I miss Warrior a lot. I would have loved to see some new videos over the last few years, especially after he became an ambassador for WWE. I was so interested in what was to come next after they announced that and after he appeared on RAW. So unfortunate what happened, we'll never know what was to come.

Snuka was my all time fave. But judging by his forehead scar tissue( from self razor cuts) and the way he flew off that top cage, he was probably so numb from being on so much coke he probably didnt feel any pain in his body till maybe 3 days later. RIP Superfly.

Muraco wasn't part of any big programs when I started watching, pretty much just saw him beat up scrubs/jobbers with Mr Fuji as a Manager. He was the most intimidating heels to watch on TV and he had me hating him. I have no idea how he did it, he didn't do anything special just was a great heel without needing an over the top gimmick.

I think it had something to do with his heart condition. Both my aunt's and uncle's faces became red and stayed that way for a few months until they died.

Think his timeline is off-him & Sting didn't get going until late 1985-the same year Powerteam USA started, two years after the Snuka Muraco match.
