Gary couldn't live with him on his feet. MVP completely outclassed his striking, so Gary went for the boring takedowns. It was his only defence after realising he was outclassed on the striking. Therefore the fight was boring.

Well, if he beats MVP that would make him 8-0 in the UFC, which is better than 6-0. Now you can argue that Shavkat's resume represents quality rather than quantity when compared to Ian's but the UFC likes activity. That's the only way I could see Ian getting the shot first. The UFC is a very "what have you done for me today" kind of company.

Ian garry does not deserve to be a number 1 contender. He has beat no one in the top 10. His last fight was crap and he's not a big draw. Only shills for the ufc have good things to say about him. Emanuel Augustas was a great boxer that was robbed on so many occasions because the judges or the Ref didnt like his Drunken style & the ref either removed points or the judges just did him bad but I saw him land the cleanest step in & under upper cut I or anybody else has ever seen..Just watch his highlights he's fantastic to watch...Mayweather said he was toughest fight ever....Thats how good he was & most people dont even know he exists...He also got shot in the back of the head not too long ago & he survived & is doing ok the mans a Legend.
