- Would love for the gas powered rc videos to be shared and get ppl back into the older ways of having fun it might be a little more work but the sound of pulling the trigger and seeing it move under a gas powered engine is truly something everyone should experience thanks for watching sharing and of course subscribing to the channel where I try and do it all rc related 💯🇺🇸🇺🇸
Earl 4 oz to gallon is 32: 1 its what I've used for 30 years with dirtbikes and than most 2strokes its the safe middle ground and racing oils 25: 1 seemed too much oil and pain to mix 1oz oil per quart i just bought one those premix 40:1 cans i use in lawn equipment but really same engines 25:1 too much

With the tuned pipe does it seem to move a Lil faster
both are running good Earl! I tend to run my mixture a little fat on the 1/5s.. actually a lot fat 28:1. Prefer to see a little smoke. your performance won't be sacrificed contrary to popular RUclipsrs!😂 The DBXL is doing great, totally worth the swap! Of course it will behave differently as it is much smaller and lighter than the T. 1/5 scales will always be more work but well worth it on my opinion! Take care and thanks for sharing!
I came back to this old video since i want to buy a 5T 2.0 again and hope to make one happen next year. I know you sold yours long ago but i still love your old truck and want to have one for myself. BTW do you still have the 32cc converted DBXL 1.0? Just wondering.

Hi Earl, great video as always. Just one thing I noticed I think you may have mistyped when you said 4oz for 40:1 ratio. 40:1 is actually 3.2oz to 1 gallon. An easy way to find out is to divide the ratio you want into 128 and tells you exactly how many oz you need. If you indeed did use 4oz per gallon that’s actually 32:1 ratio.

@@earlmoorhead5555 That’s odd, maybe it was misprint? Or maybe you may have inadvertently jumped to a different number when looking it up? Or it’s possible it’s using something other than 1gallon for the ratio.

Cool video of both your DBXL 1.0 and the 5T 2.0 they look awesome together. I'm planning to buy a 5T 2.0 in blue sometime in 2025 as i plan to start saving up next year but first i want to complete a couple of my current projects and buy an X-Maxx and an AK917.
Great bash! I started out liking the 5T more now I think I like the DBXL run more. I got to agree sounds like it is running a little more lean than the 5T.

You won’t be smelling any nitro unless you mix the wrong fuel. These are standard two strokes, but you’ll still get the thrill of an amazing scent.
My favorite fuels: VP C12, VP MS100, 100LL, methanol
Favorite oils to mix: Castor 927, Benol, Formula K2, or Redline syn
Can't wait to fire up my DBXL 2.0 Gas neighbours are going to love it!! =) Need to find a place to run though still.

I have a 30.5 full mod in my five t... 22 pinion it has good speed and gives more traction on the bottom end

I run one, you can’t truly tell if you don’t open it all the way for 4-20 seconds. You will definitely hear / feel the power loss on a straight with it wide open. Personally looking at a Bartolone motor for a bit more pop. 800+is hard to justify though 😅. Always run a bit rich , only helps the motor
Try the 8,000 clutch spring, it’ll make a big difference on your takeoff 👍
Cool vid , noticed the sound difference as soon as you started the DBXL. definitely seemed leaner and the design of that pipe verse’s the 5IVE-T pipe I’m sure makes a difference in sound too. Can’t wait to get my 5 that’s for sure

The DBXL sounds like a race car! Or, the FiveT sounds like a stock chainsaw, and the DBXL sounds like a hotsaw.

I'm pretty sure the sound difference is just from being in a different truck despite the same engine and pipe. Its a different chassis with different weight so the vibration against the chassis is different and therefore produces a different sound. Also the larger 5ive-T body probably dampens the pipe sound just a tiny bit.

Sounded nice! When I had my nitro rcs, the neighbors use to run me off or call the police! At that time there were no ordenets against gas or nitro rcs.
That’s crazy we all have rights and just because someone doesn’t agree if you having fun that not your fault gardeners make noise starting at 7am do to a noise ordnance in California other than that we are free to do as we plz as long as no one is in danger 🤔
@@earlmoorhead5555 Exactly! Back in the late 90s-2005, there were mowers running across the street from my house, which woke me at 8 or 8:3am, but I get yelled at in I ran nitros? The stuff didn't make sense at all. Even if I ran my electrics at night after dark I caught heck! World has gone nutds, man!

what 2 stroke oil do you use ? does it have to be full synthetic
I use whatever I can find so many have said it needs special oil but my chainsaws and old weedwacker motors still run great and we used to put them into rc cars back in the late 80s I haven’t had any issues 👌🤷🏻♂️
