  • Amadeo is a fourth-class town in the province of Cavite, Philippines. It is nicknamed "Kabisera ng Kape ng Pilipinas" (Coffee Capital of the Philippines) because of the amount of coffee plantations in this town. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 41,901 in 10,317 households. The town of Amadeo used to be part of Silang, Cavite which used to be known as "Masilao" because this place was believed to have a big dapdap tree that was blinding. When Prince Amadeus of Spain arrived, it was named after him as a birthday present. It was separated from Silang, Cavite on July 15, 1872.
The town is known for celebrating the Pahimis Festival, where the town's coffee industry is showcased. Usually held during the last week of February.
Watch it in 4K or HD no talking, words and sounds you hear are natural from the environment.
