Minute 26:00-28:00 ish… I think we would be wise to make the distinction between what we are required to do as Christians by God and what we ought to do as citizens of a nation with laws… keeping Romans 13 in mind… granted there are 200 verses about immigrants, but how many verses are there about God’s law- Psalm 119 alone has more… Should we prioritize helping immigrants who broke our nations laws - a nation which is ordained by God to punish evil and reward good? “When Helping Hurts” is a book mentioned in this sermon… I wonder if we realize that when we help immigrants break the law, we are hurting our Christian witness to law-abiding citizens.
