    👨🏽‍🦲ABOUT ME
It's your man, Jeff Thornton, and I'm ready to take you on a journey through my life!
I was born on Holloman Air Force Base, NM, and raised in the beautiful city of Alamogordo, NM.
Growing up as the youngest of six kids, you'd think I'd have it easy, right?
    WRONG.
My siblings were always keeping me on my toes, and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Family has always been my number one priority, and I owe that to my parents, Captain Robert and Dina Thornton, for instilling those values in me from a young age.
Now, let's talk about my love for sports.
From football to hockey, I've always been a natural athlete.
I was even the “Team Captain” for my high school football team, which I'm still proud of to this day.
But let's be real, sports are great and all, but nothing compares to the rush of being transported to a whole new world through video games.
When I was three years old, my sisters and I decided to be helpful and clean our brothers' Nintendo console.
Sounds like a good idea, right
    Well, we used WATER.
Needless to say, we destroyed the whole thing.
But that moment taught me something invaluable - gaming is more than just playing a game, it's about bonding with your loved ones over a shared experience.
Video games have been a constant throughout my life, bringing my family together and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
And that's why I'm still a gamer to this day.
It's not just about playing a character in a digital world, it's about the relationships and the community that gaming creates.
So, to all the gamers out there, let's embrace our inner nerd and never let go of that youthful spirit that makes us who we are.
Thanks for tuning in, and much love to you!
    - Jeff Thornton, Owner + CEO of QSN

I would just say that in rugby you’re taught to keep your head out of the way in order to protect yourself. A big saying is cheek to cheek-your cheek to the ballcarriers butt cheek- to protect your head and neck

Thanks fo letting me know that. I love hearing the techniques drilled in rugby.
It has a lot of similarities to football, but differ in a lot of ways.
That helps me learn a lot so thank you. I appreciate you!

Netflix just released a rugby docu-series called 'Six Nations: Full Contact', and are the same producers that created 'Drive to Survive' the F1 series. Definitely a must-watch for sports fans.

Thanks so much for letting me know. I really enjoyed the documentary. They did a good job on showcasing all the teams in each of the episodes
I love seeing the behind the scenes and learning about the players at a deeper level!
Another good series on Amazon Prime was All Access: New Zealand All Blacks

@@QSNgg Yeah that was also a good one, another 2 that were good, were 'Chasing the Sun' where they follow the Springboks 2019 world cup campaign, and there is a season 2 coming out for the 2023 world cup campaign. And then also 'Two Sides' docuseries (EMMY nominee for Sports Documentary) about the British & Irish Lions tour to South Africa during Covid. Unfortunately don't know on which streaming site this would be in the US. As both are produced by South African media provider DSTV and streaming service Showmax.

Otherwise Rugbypass is a rugby magazine owned by the World Rugby board, and they have now created their own rugby streaming service and there are also quite a few documentaries in there.

    Really enjoyed the video.
Some of those of hits I saw in there were boarder line illegal as far as the laws of the game. I even saw one or two from that video that I remember being given red cards. Although big hits are fun to watch not all of them are legal. Sometimes these big hit videos overlook that detail.
Although some players are “smaller” or “bigger” than others it’s always good to remember that the different positions on the field require different physical attributes. This is why you often get mismatches in tackle situations.
But love the respect and admiration you’re showing for the game. Look forward to your next video.

I really appreciate you checking out my video and you're awesome feedback! Yeah I can see how some of those hits were illegal
As I've been learning more about the rule of rugby I see that they really protect the players and keep the game running as clean as possible. I love that!
It's so cool to see the dynamics of the rugby game. I've been loving learning more about the game in-depth

@@QSNgg I would definitely recommend watching a bunch of games in full. Preferably one you don’t know the result of.
That’s the best way to learn the rules and nuances of rugby, as the commentators and referee will explain decisions.

2:33 the number represents the position in rugby so 10 is fly-half
Positions are split into forwards and backs, forwards do a lot of the tough work like the big hits and tackles and running the short games by the try line
Backs do the fancy stuff like the long passes and kicking. The number 9-15 is backs 1-8 are forwards
