As a child growing in Caonillas, I used to go fishing in that lake looking for lobinas i chopas. Many times, as a 9 or 10 year old I climbed those steps of the church and rowing my mother's boat fishing. My father had a store in the old road before before the dam was built and the "Fuentes Fubliales De Puerto Rico" built a new 'solar' for my father's store since the land was flooded for the lake. This was next to a bar called 'La Tinajita". Up to this day the place where my father had the store still exist as a residence and the Pentecostal church we built is still there, I, as a 15 year old kid wire the electrical installation for the church, me being a student in the electrical shop in Utuado under the direction of Mr. Padilla, the electrical trade instructor.

@@puertorriqueno100pre5 Yes, it is a very small world. As I said, the land where the tunnel emerges from the mountain by "La Tinajita" belonged to us many moons ago. The concrete house next to the 'Iglesia Pentecostal de Caonillas' is where I grew up until I graduated from the Electrical shop in the 'Utuado High School'. Then I moved to NYC where I was drafted in the Army and went to Viet Nam where I contracted "Agent Orange" and after released I worked in the Telephone company for 42 1/2 years as an elevator repairman, retired now! Hola Marrero. Yo no sabia que por allí existieran Marrero. Mi familia salió de Canillas arriba en Feb 1959. Yo también fui reclutado por el ejército en 12/65. Y enviado para Vietnam con la 4 th army division. ¿Con que unidad estuviste y cuando?
