Love your videos. The shots of you thinking things through, detailed measuring and quiet makes it peaceful to watch.
Always a pleasure to watch a master craftsman. Thank you for allowing us to watch.
As always a beautiful creation - a master craftsman that I never tire of watching, and similarly crafted videos - a joy to watch. I can almost smell the wood!
This is sublime beauty, a perfect example of craftmanship!!!
Simply beautiful, the most elegant table.
Thanks for post these videos. You have inspired me to take on hobby carpentry.
Outstanding piece and design. Simple and elegant. Thank you for sharing.
The little details make your work really shine.
This is a terrific example of why Steve Jobs lived in Japan for a time to study Japanese Art, Architecture and Design. Bravo!
Plus my required fix of Kiro, who just like us can't get enough of his Master and Friend!
I really love this channel, your family, and your work. Your videos make me feel good!
Natsuki, I found your videos accidentaly and now... I'm your fan.Man, your work it's amazing. Hard work and details, a lot of attention for details.I don't know why but your videos are motivating me in my work. All the best for you !
Gracias maestro!!!! Un arte !!! Felicidades!!!
beautiful work, my wife and i love your pieces... aloha from hawaii...
Very beautiful. The texturing is wonderful.
Zen and the Art of Furniture Making!
Yeah, I'm glad to see that the 2.0 version of the videos is out!
Good for you.
David Gendron what is the difference ? Why always 2.0?
Seems like there will be no answer - ever.
I also don't know the answer :)
Great work as usual. Take care of those hands, they do an incredible job!
Thank you :)
Beautiful Furniture.
Excellent work!
absolutely beautifull.
That's cool you use models to help you visualize, I do the same. Awesome video as always, never disappointed.
:)
very Nice work!
Love it !
Always love the simplicity of your designs. You could sell the minature models on ebay or etsy. You'd get more for them on etsy.
Única coisa a dizer bom gosto muito bom!
Desde da qualidade de execução do trabalho como também filmagem, música, etc.
Tank you for the amazing craft in woodworking and videography
I just have a tip for the Atopic dermatitis, try to wipe pure raw honey on it at night before sleep.
Just after some days, you will see improvements.
It will eventually heal it completely.
(Also don't forget the mental/spiritual side, try to keep being in peace and tranquility as much as you can, because this of course affect the body too)
Beautiful
Espero estés bien Maestro
Extraño tus creaciones, aparte de aprender me trasmites mucha paz
I could spend forever trimming those legs to height and I would still end up with a wobbly table that's 10-inches tall...another great piece
İshitani; Çalışmalarında bir ruh olduğuna inanıyorum.
İzlerken ağacın ruhunun bu videoda bize birşeyler anlattığına inanıyorum.
Teşekkürler. Türkiyeden selamlar
Ishitani; I believe there is a spirit in their work.
I believe that the soul of the tree is telling us something on this video.
Thank you. greetings from Turkey
sağol :)
Bravo !
5:14 resolving the length of the legs so they sit level - I'm going to do this technique today!
Excellent job, my question is, why you don't use an elongated holes on the metal part to prevent wood movements
Is the metal bar on the underside just for cross grain reinforcement? I wouldn’t think that thickness of wood would need it, but perhaps it is a weaker wood species.
better than Japanese movie.
Better than much furniture
I always find myself re-watching these videos. Excellent stuff. What are the Auger bits you used for drilling the holes for the legs? They produce a very nice clean cut.
How does he measure and scribe the angle for the drilled through mortise?
Interesting sunburst effect....
great artwork and a lot of Inspiration
thank you very much
do you use regular wood glue ( PVA glue) in your work? what type of glue is the " traditional" Japanese?
in germany it is common to use PVA glue for indoor furniture
some traditional guys still use Animal glue , it is made for centuries and its possible to open up joints after hundreds of years just using a bit of heat
please continue
best wishes from Germany
Jonas
Another amazing work. Is the warp necessary because it was a round table?
Much better safety warning then last time.
Why do RUclips viewers feel it is the responsibility of the video maker to have safety warnings? Do you not read the safety information that comes with your power tools when you buy them? Or do you just want someone else to blame?
Amazing work, the carving of the top is really beautiful, I suppose it's still better in the real life than what we see on the video. You have a very interesting tool at 0.37 in the video. It seems so handy to get the right diameter on the lathe. Where did you find this ?
This one ? [RobertSorby 970]
Yes ! Thanks for the answer
Beautiful work! what type of joint are you using for the legs to the table?
It's a through-tenon wedge. The wedges expand the leg to create a really tight joint with the top. Plus it looks like he used expanding adhesive to fill any voids and to make it even more secure.
Grate work! But, why the metal bar in the bottom of the table?
すごいですね。 知りたいことあるんですが、どんなプログラムに設計を..?
始め部分にデザインされたプリントを見ましたが.
Please, tell on what program you projecting?
Great work! What is that iron beam for? To create more stiffness?
It is a warp stop of the board.
いつも見させてもらってます。 北海道に住んでるんですが、家具の注文できますか?
demiri taburenin sağlamlığını artırmak ve üst tablanın birbirinden ayrılmasını önlemek için mi koydun?
To increase the robustness of the plaster and to prevent the top plates from being separated from each other?
indeed. The metal plate is to prevent the wood from losing shape
ガウジに付けてある太さを決める治具はどこで購入できますでしょうか?
ПЕРФЕКЦИОНИСТ!
very nice project love sunshine details on surfaces what kind of finish do you use....
Finishing oil-wax is Holzlasur and Lappenwachs/KREIDEZEIT in this case.
thank ...do you mix them together... its German ..... are you staying in Germany or is it something you've imported
They do not mix. at first oil next wax. There is an import company in Japan :)
cool
What model drill press are you using?
Another great video, beautiful! What is the name of the small hand plane you use for texturing the surface?
It is "Sorikanna" in Japanese.
Thank you. Sorry but I am South African so I know nothing about Japanese tools. Is this the same as the Sotomaru-Kanna? I want to buy one online.
C’est trop mignon
may i ask a question please? why do you not countersink the legs into the table? wouldn't it make the joint weaker on the underside of the table?
I feel like countersinking would affect the contact surface of the joint. most of the pressure is at the top of edge of the leg, so maybe the bottom edge isn't as vulnerable.
what's the metal shank thing that's under the table for?
It'll help stop the table top want to cup or warp in some direction over time.
Perfect !
Why metal strip is screwed from lower side of table??
Im looking the answer, but, i think that is to prevent the board from curving
whats that black thing for?
It is a warp stop of the board.
What was the metal part in the middle for?
ophello I believe as the table top is made up of large planks which are glued together on relatively thin edges, a metal brace running perpendicular to the glued edges will add strength and support
And it will prevent warping/cupping.
It is a warp stop of the board.
Correct :)
what are they called i need to find to purchase one
Hello Ishitani, what is the wood your work. Thank's.
It looks like butternut, so I think it's some East Asian variety of white walnut, Juglans cinerea.
Could you please tell the wonderfull music at the end with violin?
The music is "The Rain" by Silent Partner.
It's free music on RUclips :)
It might be a violin.
You answered my question before I asked. :)
What is the name of tool the craftsman use at the woodturning lathe to make the pin? Does anyone know? 0:38
Robert Sorby no. 970 Sizing Tool
What is the brand/manufacturer of your japanese hand saw please?
Band saw is [HITACHI] Japanese brand.
I misread! Hand saw is [GYOKUCHO] Japanese brand.
What type of glue is that?
was going to ask the same, it looks clay-ish.
What's the yellow thing at 1:05?
Just a plastic handle and pad for sandpaper.
please is it possible to get the plans ? thanks

That´s a very nice piece of furniture I love it, but i wouldn´t put too much weight on it, that top needs reinforcement
doesn't it have a metal bar running across the middle of it?
