Dogsledding in Tromsø, Norway

One of our day trips was dogsledding at the Villmarkscenter. Really fun and educational. Our musher was one of the owners, and his parents started this business. 211 dogs on the property, (compared to pre-covid when they had 300). They suit you up in snow jumpsuits and prefer you use their rubber boots, so as not to ruin your shoes with dog poop. It happens :) After the dog sledding it was already getting dark, at about 3pm....they had a hot fire for us, hot beverages and food for us. Topped it off with a great little talk from the owner who happened to be very good friends with our local guide for many years. Told us about how it was a big deal to be one of the best female mushers in the world, the work it takes, etc.
