This one has as good receiver as Icom IC-7800 as build on same technology. Though 7800 is flagship transceiver but according to Icom IC756 Pro III receiver capabilities are excellent too. I will compare 7800 and this one side by side on the reception aspects to see if the icon’s claim is justified. IC730 was also good old rig but this one is another class and it was almost 3000 euros in Europe when launched in the year 2006. Enjoy my friend this excellent piece of radio technology by Icom. I just bought one to replace my old ic-730 which I've had since 1980 but barely used. Lovely bit of kit.
