I just got my Coda, and I like the approach that you're using. No Tabs, and a heavy emphasis on learning music notation... It's a challenge for us non trained folk, but it's definitely a breath a fresh air and gives us valuable music lessons that can be transferred to any musical instrument. DOWN WITH TABS!
I just ordered one ! Karl your amazing, I have a c and g in the older version. I have a small collection of of nice ocarinas . I love yours best. Your way of doing business is refreshing and I appreciate it. How about a bass inline? Yes I know big, but....bass
Yay! I'm so excited to order one (after my Christmas paycheck)! I've been captivated by the idea of the Coda since I first heard about it. Unique, innovative, a new adventure! Being a flute and ocarina player, I'm excited to give this a try.😉
Merci pour le mail et pour cette première vidéo pleine de conseils!!! J'ai hâte de recevoir l'instrument!! "Thank you for the mail and for this first video full of advice! I look forward to receiving the instrument !!"
Great tutorial! I just ordered the Coda and I can’t wait to try it. What an awesome design! (I currently have the C and G mountain ocarinas, so I’m already a fan!)
That's great! If any questions come up, we have lots of resources on our website... and you can email us questions too. All the best! --Karl of Coda EDC Flutes
I love it when a video ends with a cute joke! I'm very excited, I can hardly wait to order mine. So, does this lovely book come with the Coda? What is it's range? Something like middle C to C above the staff?
Thanks for making this video! I've had my Coda for quite a while but had to put learning on the back burner, a very crowded back burner due to family issues. Probably not the best idea; music belongs on the front burner at full boil, right?
A question about holding the coda on high notes; why isn't the left pinky used to hold the coda in place instead of the right, which has a hole to cover when playing lower notes? Also, does having the clip aid in holding the coda?
To talk about two extremes, I was going back and forth between the coda and a Hind tenor ocarina. The more I looked into it, it really did seem like the owner was a descent sorta guy so I finally choose the one I wouldn't mind getting scratched up over the show piece (not to mention the massive price deference). Looking forward to my coda's arrival!
I absolutely love the look of this instrument, however the cost of postage to the UK could make it unaffordable. Do you by any chance have a UK distributor? Either way congratulations on making this instrument.
For some odd reason I cannot get the notes to sound right, I’m wondering if it’s my fingers being too small to cover the holes properly, they seem covered, but the notes don’t sound right.
Hi, sorry you are having trouble. I'd like to troubleshoot with you, either via email or on the phone. Here's a link to our contact page: codaedc.com/contact-us/ I look forward to hearing from you!🙂 --Karl Ahrens of Coda EDC Flutes
please put this vid on the description webpage, so that people can make a more informed decision on buying coda. (maybe u already did that, but i did not see it) that way, people can have good info on coda BEFORE THEY BUY IT. i could have used that info and it would have helped me make a better decision as to how coda work, and WEATHER OR NOT I LIKE THE WAY IT WORKS, which would have helped me decide. thanks

Life is a challenge and comes in seasons. Glad that things are opening up so you can get back to music! 🙂
"I'm a low-carb guy..." I laughed out loud. Love this company's attitude.

Can you give us the notes to songs, so that we can follow along and learn faster for those of us that have no experience playing any music. Thanks.
I want a proper song book with notes and fingering
