I'm surprised Atlus doesn't just put this game in color and re-releases this on the Virtual Console so people could experience it. It's not like it would be hard to do -- just put it up on 3ds and Switch for 4.99 and bam. There ya go. :)
I'm sure Nintendo has some rules and regulations about what can and can't be put onto the VC, especially when it comes to specific consoles, but yeah, for real. If this game ever gets put on the Switch or something, I'll buy it in a heartbeat.

Either this game or Wario Land for VB is considered the best on the system. They're pretty simple games though, and don't really take advantage of the system.
This one does utilize the 3D somewhat by letting you see the next floor off in the distance, but yeah, though to be fair, I think the systems main features were what most people hated about it. If this had been a SNES title I bet it'd be seen as a classic. But yeah, this, Wario Land, or maybe the Tennis game are probably the best titles.

Jack the Ripper actually was going to be in Synchronicity Prologue, but they cut him at some point in development (which is another reason why I'd REALLY love to get a bigger and better version of it) The devs even released a gif of his idle sprite on their Twitter. It looked pretty dang good too.

Man I love comparing western and Japanese/Pal box art. I think Europe even used Japanese box art for older games. Basically the Japanese stylized ones aged way better than the western ones although some of the western ones still aged well in a "retro'" way.

And agreed, the art style of this game is amazing, and while I doubt we'll see another game like this, as it's very much a product of the mid-90's, I hope to see more games starring demons like this and Synchronicity in the future.
