It's also a lot of Ranboo's moral struggle. On the one hand, the guilt that he's (unknowingly) done bad things eats at him. At the other... how would anyone react to the knowledge that he's being used in a state that he can't control? He doesn't want people to be afraid of him (especially given the stigma surrounding endermen in the first place), but he also doesn't want to be a danger or burden to anyone. His sense of right and wrong wars with the state of his reality and makes him wonder what to do. He feels he can't tell anyone, but he also believes he's a danger. That's why he tried to get Sam to imprison him, but he couldn't tell Sam why, which is why Sam refused. He distances himself in the hopes that if his enderwalk state gets used, it won't hurt the ones he loves... while the very act of distancing already does it. Ranboo's quite the tragic character, isn't he?

"I've built a land in the sky, but I can't remember why." This one hits me the most. Out of context, it sounds like: "I've accomplished so much in life, but I wasn't doing it for myself. Now there's no one left to appreciate my achievements, not even me."
The animation is so emotive and honestly so cool and the LYRICS. I love how many aspects of c!Ranboo and his lore and how it shows his struggles with enderwalking and the guilt he feels. His character feels weighed down and plagued and half of the time he doesn’t even know why. I just deeply appreciate the line “the wars already won, why do we go on?” because, I personally interpret it referring to his pacifist role still being roped into the constant conflict and the internal war he’s going through since he wants so badly to remember everything but he doesn’t feel ready to learn the truth.
@Vridhi Mathur I’ll try my best to sum it up. Ranboo’s character is plagued by guilt for various reasons. The main one being, his struggles with memory - everything he cannot remember or cannot take accountability for. For example, he’s has this inner voice speaking to him and it told him to “not let anyone know what he’s done.” As well as, the numerous instances where something terrible has happened and Ranboo has had involvement in enderwalk. For example, gathering TNT for Dream. However he’s experienced arguably some of the most guilt over his frequent visits to the prison and with Dream in enderwalk… I hope this was decent, it’s probably full of errors
@Vridhi Mathur cuz he had diary in which he wrote all his important things (that for him are the friendships principally) but the diary was discovered from dream that used it for for make him pass like a traitor for l’manburg (cuz in the diary he wrote of his friendship with techno too) but Ranboo just wanted to be friend with everyone so after dream said that he is a traitor and quackity nearly EXECUTE him for betraying he begin hear drea voice in his head and become insane Finally, after dream got imprisoned he begin slowly recovering memory and he go to leave with tecno and Phil He also remain friend with tubbo, that never really saw him like a traitor So yes, that’s his story in short (also sorry for the bad English I’m Italian😅)
@Vridhi Mathur The thumbnail was probably a nonspecific moment so we could interpret which moment we think he’s writing about. Personally, I think it’s him during one of his panic sessions. Or, when he tried to open his memory book to prove himself innocent during Tommy’s exile debate but only saw a smiley face because Dream stole it and showed it book to everyone. Also technically yeah, he did help Doomsday on Dream’s side a lot since he gave them a large portion of TNT and I think he helped maybe build the obsidian grid lines
Also, dream manipulated him because of his bad memory for make ranboo believe that it was HIM (ranboo) to blew up the community house and to burn down George house so... yes dream is a piece of 💩
I can't describe how much I love how the enderwalk is incorporated in the song TvT Honestly, I don't know anything not to love about the song in general atm, I'm so hyped, you did so great!!
This song helped me through my entire high school senior year. During that year I was going through something I still cannot understand. I felt this weird unknown terror in my chest that makes me feel like everyone and everything will hurt me. I also felt light on my feet like a rat that just want to scramble away and escape into a none existance safe space. And it felt different than normal anxiety because I do not analyze potencial scenarios inside my head about WHY I could be in danger. I just got this raw feeling that i am, currently, in danger, even if i am not, and there is no escaping it. I also sometimes cannot feel any feelings or even any thoughts other than pure, raw fear. I felt less than a human, I felt my mind had been replaced by that of a feral rat. I remember this getting into the way of my daily life because I can’t focus on my works and I can’t interact with people without being scared. I remember not able to find anything that can help me understand my own feeling other than this song. I remembered humming to myself “so scared of the water, so scared of the rain” as well as “all these thoughts, ever strange, free me from my mental cage” on repeat when I’m in the car, still feeling terrified, and it calmed me down knowing that some words out there can describe how I feel. I have since then long recovered, and that feeling never came back although I don’t know why. But I still always come back to this song to try to remember it and understand it. Without this song, I genuinely don’t know what to do with myself during that moment, without knowing if my feelings can be ever put into words
I'm so excited! For the song and for the art for the music video. The "redesign you logo" animation is soooo good, I keep coming back to it and I'm so glad that CG5 asked Shyshui to work with him (or however that collaboration happened). Anyways, I can't wait! :D

To be quite honest, I only watch (parts of) the dream SMP because I genuinely enjoyed the rest of ranboo’s content and I wanted to see more so I did a little catching up on lore and his character is really the only reason I watch it, he does just a really great job! And I’m so excited to see the other projects he’s working on!
Ranboo was what got me into the DSMP, I was looking for someone who I was interested in and I kind of can have the feeling of Ranboo as I constantly feel betrayed, used, and Iam very forgetful, and I have this voice telling me nothing will be okay. But yeah Ranboo was what got me into DSMP
This animation style is so unique and really brings together the finished product. Cg5’s voice holds so much meaning and emotion, it feels as if Ranboo himself is singing the song. It’s so well made and honestly one of my favourite songs!

I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! I love how Ranboo’s enderwalk state is sung softer than conscious Ranboo. The lyrics really express Ranboo’s dilemma. The animation is also so freaking smooth. The books, the smiles, the running and the flicker between Enderwalk!Ranboo and Conscious!Ranboo. It’s so good and I love it aaaaaaaaaa

The day this came out was the moment this song permanently got stuck in my head. Literally. Honestly though this song is so amazing and I love the way it tells his lore.
Theory: Ranboo is a genetically engineered half enderman half Dreamon. That explains the white on his face and why he could hear Dream, possibly in a hive mind sort of way.
I keep coming back to this and remembering my dsmp viewing days. It helps remind me that if i wish to do something similar i need to be creative! One day i think I'm gonna make my own mc series. I hope it'll be just as popular...
Everytime I come back to this amazing song the line "how could I forget my name" hits so hard. The confusion and fear all wrapped up in just one lyric and the delivery is perfect when the temporary silence follows, like how he feels utterly lost and alone even within himself

This is gonna be SO GOOD!!! i'll edit this after i watch it EDIT: I missed the premiere by 13 minutes, time to go on a depression arc. ANYWAYS, the song was great, I loved it! It really encapsulates the feeling of Ranboo wanting help but not being able to get it due to the mental torment he constantly suffers. The animator (Shyshui) also did a great job on the animation, I already knew it was gonna be good after watching their previous work. Overall a really good song paired with an amazing animation, much love to everyone involved!

enderman side? not exactly. you see, endermen have had green eyes in the past. their earliest incarnations had them, and it was only later, during one of the beta pre-releases that it was changed to purple. do you know what that version of minecraft was called? Pre-release 2 ;)

It just boggles my mind that Ranboo has created such a unique and memorable character that has to go through all these terrifying and real mistakes he was part of. Honestly each time I watch one of his streams and see the actual lore part, all I can think of is what can happen next, and how can he fix everything he's done? Definitely the best storyline on the DreamSMP, no arguing about it.
Idk, I think Techno’s storyline makes a decent rival to Ranboo’s doesn’t it? *please note: techno fan still inching their way into the Ranboo lore, take with a few grains of salt since the opinion still needs proper seasoning
Technoblade and Ranboo are by far an incredible force to be reckoned with, Ranboo being the main protagonist now, and Technoblade being both mentor and anti hero. Literally, all this will culminate in due course and I can't wait to see it!

This is absolutely insane. Shyshui's art style is so unique and the animation so clean and fluid and brings CG5's gorgeous vocals to life in this catchy yet sad composition. The music video leads you to realize how miserable it must be to be c!Ranboo - a boy that so desperately wants to be good and do the right thing but who is standing in his own way constantly. His heart is in the right place and his words spell truth, asking "The war's already gone, why do we go on?" but they run out whenever eyes lock with his own "vibrant eyes". He's "scared of the water", and he's "scared of the rain" and even his tears leave marks on his skin; Yet he'd be less scared of burning than of the things his own self is capable of - (missing) "memories" and "smiles" weight heavier than any physical pain he might have to endure. And he truly wishes he could tell the people, "tell them what he's done", he really does, but he physically can't. He's stuck in his own "mental cage", internally screaming for "someone to help him" but nobody can free him, no one but himself. And alas, he's too weak break out of it, haunted by his other self, the other Ranboo that only surfaces in the Enderwalk State, and that seems so much stronger than him, and the echo of Dream's voice inside of his head. Amazing work, I adore the overall composition of both the song and the video, most notably the use of the voice changer to portray Ranboo's dark and sinister Enderwalk self juxtaposed with his anxious, panicking "normal" self and the storyboarding that must have allowed for such creative and varied frames, although I especially the admire the perfect lip-sinc and how Ranboo's facial expressions match the emotion conveyed in the lyrics. As I said: The quality and creativity of this music video are, indeed, absolutely insane.
I love how the Enderman in the book actually says things that seem like what he’d write down, one of the pages seems to talk about him giving Techno the netherite axe, one mentions the syndicate table, it’s a really nice touch

@@Рочализей You can look up a translator sheet for the letters, that’s what I did at first, it’s pretty easy to memorize since most of them look very similar to English letters, sometimes when reading I just find certain letters then figure out the word based on what’s around it, like a game of hangman

The vocals are amazing, the animation is ASTONISHING! The…the EVERYTHING is AMAZING! The little details, the art! It is made also in a way that I can’t describe it it feels like it is C!Ranboo singing it and speaking to himself. Some of the lines feels like they were said by him. The “help me”s in the background adds an extra layer of “painful Ranboo lore” vibes to it and I love it. The lipsyncing in the animation is AMAZING AF!! And the parts where it just flashes to purple lineart and the ENDING! The ending makes me miss lore even more. The little “ *ahh* ” noise is perfect just like everything else in this song. Also the ender on the pages are pages in his book translated to ender. The last page is what he wrote in The Lessons. (What am I?) and then the enderwalk’s answer.
Okay, so my comment has a mistake. When I was making the comment, I was debating to myself over wether the song ended on major or minor, despite the answer on my comment, it actually ends on minor. The major chord would have the third be E, but each segment ends on D# (or E flat), which is minor. I got very confused about major and minor because it is played on a guitar. I got it wrong the first time around, I hope that the misinformation didn't confuse you. Side note, I did not expect to have gained as much of a following as I did, thank you!

It's also a lot of Ranboo's moral struggle. On the one hand, the guilt that he's (unknowingly) done bad things eats at him. At the other... how would anyone react to the knowledge that he's being used in a state that he can't control? He doesn't want people to be afraid of him (especially given the stigma surrounding endermen in the first place), but he also doesn't want to be a danger or burden to anyone. His sense of right and wrong wars with the state of his reality and makes him wonder what to do. He feels he can't tell anyone, but he also believes he's a danger. That's why he tried to get Sam to imprison him, but he couldn't tell Sam why, which is why Sam refused. He distances himself in the hopes that if his enderwalk state gets used, it won't hurt the ones he loves... while the very act of distancing already does it.

The animation is so emotive and honestly so cool and the LYRICS.
I love how many aspects of c!Ranboo and his lore and how it shows his struggles with enderwalking and the guilt he feels. His character feels weighed down and plagued and half of the time he doesn’t even know why. I just deeply appreciate the line “the wars already won, why do we go on?” because, I personally interpret it referring to his pacifist role still being roped into the constant conflict and the internal war he’s going through since he wants so badly to remember everything but he doesn’t feel ready to learn the truth.
@Vridhi Mathur I’ll try my best to sum it up. Ranboo’s character is plagued by guilt for various reasons. The main one being, his struggles with memory - everything he cannot remember or cannot take accountability for.
For example, he’s has this inner voice speaking to him and it told him to “not let anyone know what he’s done.” As well as, the numerous instances where something terrible has happened and Ranboo has had involvement in enderwalk. For example, gathering TNT for Dream.
However he’s experienced arguably some of the most guilt over his frequent visits to the prison and with Dream in enderwalk… I hope this was decent, it’s probably full of errors
@Vridhi Mathur cuz he had diary in which he wrote all his important things (that for him are the friendships principally) but the diary was discovered from dream that used it for for make him pass like a traitor for l’manburg (cuz in the diary he wrote of his friendship with techno too) but Ranboo just wanted to be friend with everyone so after dream said that he is a traitor and quackity nearly EXECUTE him for betraying he begin hear drea voice in his head and become insane
Finally, after dream got imprisoned he begin slowly recovering memory and he go to leave with tecno and Phil
He also remain friend with tubbo, that never really saw him like a traitor
So yes, that’s his story in short (also sorry for the bad English I’m Italian😅)
@Vridhi Mathur The thumbnail was probably a nonspecific moment so we could interpret which moment we think he’s writing about. Personally, I think it’s him during one of his panic sessions. Or, when he tried to open his memory book to prove himself innocent during Tommy’s exile debate but only saw a smiley face because Dream stole it and showed it book to everyone.
Also technically yeah, he did help Doomsday on Dream’s side a lot since he gave them a large portion of TNT and I think he helped maybe build the obsidian grid lines

I can't describe how much I love how the enderwalk is incorporated in the song TvT Honestly, I don't know anything not to love about the song in general atm, I'm so hyped, you did so great!!
This song helped me through my entire high school senior year. During that year I was going through something I still cannot understand. I felt this weird unknown terror in my chest that makes me feel like everyone and everything will hurt me. I also felt light on my feet like a rat that just want to scramble away and escape into a none existance safe space. And it felt different than normal anxiety because I do not analyze potencial scenarios inside my head about WHY I could be in danger. I just got this raw feeling that i am, currently, in danger, even if i am not, and there is no escaping it. I also sometimes cannot feel any feelings or even any thoughts other than pure, raw fear. I felt less than a human, I felt my mind had been replaced by that of a feral rat. I remember this getting into the way of my daily life because I can’t focus on my works and I can’t interact with people without being scared. I remember not able to find anything that can help me understand my own feeling other than this song. I remembered humming to myself “so scared of the water, so scared of the rain” as well as “all these thoughts, ever strange, free me from my mental cage” on repeat when I’m in the car, still feeling terrified, and it calmed me down knowing that some words out there can describe how I feel. I have since then long recovered, and that feeling never came back although I don’t know why. But I still always come back to this song to try to remember it and understand it. Without this song, I genuinely don’t know what to do with myself during that moment, without knowing if my feelings can be ever put into words
I'm so excited! For the song and for the art for the music video. The "redesign you logo" animation is soooo good, I keep coming back to it and I'm so glad that CG5 asked Shyshui to work with him (or however that collaboration happened). Anyways, I can't wait! :D

EDIT: I missed the premiere by 13 minutes, time to go on a depression arc. ANYWAYS, the song was great, I loved it! It really encapsulates the feeling of Ranboo wanting help but not being able to get it due to the mental torment he constantly suffers. The animator (Shyshui) also did a great job on the animation, I already knew it was gonna be good after watching their previous work. Overall a really good song paired with an amazing animation, much love to everyone involved!

It just boggles my mind that Ranboo has created such a unique and memorable character that has to go through all these terrifying and real mistakes he was part of. Honestly each time I watch one of his streams and see the actual lore part, all I can think of is what can happen next, and how can he fix everything he's done? Definitely the best storyline on the DreamSMP, no arguing about it.

This is absolutely insane.
Shyshui's art style is so unique and the animation so clean and fluid and brings CG5's gorgeous vocals to life in this catchy yet sad composition.
The music video leads you to realize how miserable it must be to be c!Ranboo - a boy that so desperately wants to be good and do the right thing but who is standing in his own way constantly.
His heart is in the right place and his words spell truth, asking "The war's already gone, why do we go on?" but they run out whenever eyes lock with his own "vibrant eyes".
He's "scared of the water", and he's "scared of the rain" and even his tears leave marks on his skin;
Yet he'd be less scared of burning than of the things his own self is capable of - (missing) "memories" and "smiles" weight heavier than any physical pain he might have to endure.
And he truly wishes he could tell the people, "tell them what he's done", he really does, but he physically can't.
He's stuck in his own "mental cage", internally screaming for "someone to help him" but nobody can free him, no one but himself.
And alas, he's too weak break out of it, haunted by his other self, the other Ranboo that only surfaces in the Enderwalk State, and that seems so much stronger than him, and the echo of Dream's voice inside of his head.
Amazing work, I adore the overall composition of both the song and the video, most notably the use of the voice changer to portray Ranboo's dark and sinister Enderwalk self juxtaposed with his anxious, panicking "normal" self and the storyboarding that must have allowed for such creative and varied frames, although I especially the admire the perfect lip-sinc and how Ranboo's facial expressions match the emotion conveyed in the lyrics.
As I said: The quality and creativity of this music video are, indeed, absolutely insane.

I love how the Enderman in the book actually says things that seem like what he’d write down, one of the pages seems to talk about him giving Techno the netherite axe, one mentions the syndicate table, it’s a really nice touch

@@Рочализей You can look up a translator sheet for the letters, that’s what I did at first, it’s pretty easy to memorize since most of them look very similar to English letters, sometimes when reading I just find certain letters then figure out the word based on what’s around it, like a game of hangman

The vocals are amazing, the animation is ASTONISHING! The…the EVERYTHING is AMAZING! The little details, the art! It is made also in a way that I can’t describe it it feels like it is C!Ranboo singing it and speaking to himself. Some of the lines feels like they were said by him. The “help me”s in the background adds an extra layer of “painful Ranboo lore” vibes to it and I love it. The lipsyncing in the animation is AMAZING AF!! And the parts where it just flashes to purple lineart and the ENDING! The ending makes me miss lore even more. The little “ *ahh* ” noise is perfect just like everything else in this song.
Also the ender on the pages are pages in his book translated to ender. The last page is what he wrote in The Lessons. (What am I?) and then the enderwalk’s answer.

Okay, so my comment has a mistake. When I was making the comment, I was debating to myself over wether the song ended on major or minor, despite the answer on my comment, it actually ends on minor. The major chord would have the third be E, but each segment ends on D# (or E flat), which is minor. I got very confused about major and minor because it is played on a guitar. I got it wrong the first time around, I hope that the misinformation didn't confuse you.
Side note, I did not expect to have gained as much of a following as I did, thank you!
