If you’ve tried to use the special character and committed it to git before, you’ll likely know that it can cause some issues between operating systems. Not only that, the feature is technically unsupported and using the ChatColor api instead of the chat directly protects you from any changes and ensures your plugin is backwards and forwards compatible in the event of any issues
honestly you can also just create a method to have it shortened out and still type it relatively smaller. Keeping you safe from issues with operating systems.
