These and the Dead Rising 1 streams are my favourite streams ever. I don't think I'll ever laugh as hard as I did when he tried to save Danni in the wheelchair for like 30 minutes straight with a literally impossible amount of time remaining to do it.
@@ParagonBourne The other characters are fine but Frank is easily the best. Chuck being an everyman just trying to make ends meet for his daughter is still a nice angle for the series. @@zion9575 It's a bit easier than DR2, but OTR shifts around quests to accommodate Uranus Zone which throws off the balance of the time limit. But Off the Record is way more generous with money. Jerma was able to buy the sports car in Royal Flush Plaza this playthrough, yes, Jerma. And the game doesn't make you run back and forth for Katey. Sorry if I'm nerdy as shit, I love Dead Rising
@@VOKZEL I was gonna get dorky, talking about how a lot of the easiest quests in deadrising OTR are during downtime, leaving harder or more time consuming quests for time extremely time sensitive missions. Deadrising 1, while easily the toughest game I'd played as a kid, is just game knowledge. Know to farm small chainsaws, know where the katana is, know about torso's. The game is trivial if you get a select few melting weapons. (Things like the car gun and the small chainsaw) As far as time management, it's way easier than later titles. With balanced weapons, you get spread far thinner. You have to create better gear to circumvent the lack of any real skill based way to avoid damage, while saving people, and to a greater extent, just doing all the cool shit that's in these games. Dead Rising 2: Terrible AI: Electric Boogaloo I swear, whenever Jerma plays Dead Rising, he gets the glitchiest play sessions you could imagine. A stuck camera angle, Chuck glitching into a fence, a zombie and Danni in a wheelchair.
If Jerma is having a meltdown from playing off the record, the game where you can reload checkpoints and where the NPCs are relatively manageable, then if he plays DR1 hes gonna die
The first two Dead Rising games are a sort of monolith onto themselves, the older the game is the harder they are, as they had more sequels it just got easier and easier
Off the Record is, like, more fun to play, but the Frank take on the story ends up being like the plot of a bad action movie. Still, this game was worth it for Chuck Greene fight with "Firewater" as the song for it.
