Taylor! The idea of finding a niche seemed overwhelming to me and it did not help much when I've heard so many other people say, "It's easy, look at what's popular and just find a niche!" . It's not that simple for many people, myself included, so this video with your clear ,direct, detailed instructions is exactly what I needed. Thank you and congrats on 10K!
Omg 😆 I have only expanded the keyword tool once or twice 😅 thanks for reminding me it’s there. I have a shop that is relatively new and I wanted to start adding other products and now I see how focusing on one item can help me make my shop cohesive ❤😊
🥳Thank you Taylor for a lovely video. I love how you said we should create products that we're passionate about. My shop had been opened almost 1 year now, I have been getting some sales (175 so far) but my biggest struggle is finding a niche. Right now, I'm currently selling t-shirts, sweatshirts and mugs in multiple niches. However, going forward, I want to do blankets, I started creating blankets in another niche that I'm passionate about (and high in demand). You validated what I was thinking - create something that you're passionate/interested in. In the beginning, other youtubers would say to create something that is high in demand (regardless of whether you are passionate about or not) and after making those, it's hard to keep going because I don't really like that niche. Now, I'm going to move forward (not backwards, like you said) to create something that I love and keep those that are selling (but set to manual). I would love to join your mentorship group, wish I had found you sooner because I just spent a TON of money with another etsy coach which I think wasted my money, lol.
TY Taylor, I love your super informative videos! You offer such bite size advice that seems common sense, that maybe some of us starting out may not think of. I just subscribed and may join your course to jump start my business :)
Your videos always deliver the goods, Taylor. Thanks! And it's great to see you surpass 10k subs, you deserve that and more. Cheers! P.S. I couldn't get the emoji thing to work for me for some strange reason. :*(
Great video thankyou Taylor! What would you consider to be low competition? Eg if there are 200 monthly searches for the searchterm, what amount of competitors on etsy would you consider low competition? Every one I research comes up with thousands of competitors! Does the competitor number need to be lower than the average monthly search volume?
I cant decide on what niche to do. On the Product Specific route is that just one product or a few related items? Since I was young ive always loved writing, books and stationery stores. Would that fall under Products? I feel ive watched too many videos from diff ppl and running with no focus. Ty for your videos and any suggestions you can offer.
Would you please (when you can lol) make a video on how to create and push to Etsy a listing from Printful 😅 I am having a little bit of trouble. Thanks 😊
Taylor I love your videos. Question. I’ve dabbled into sweatshirts, tees and mugs. But lately, I’m interested in just sweatshirts right now. Should I leave my tshirt and mug listings up to see how they do? Or would it confuse my customers? I’m a bit of a newer shop.
Thank you for watching! Yes definitely just leave them up. I never recommend deleting/deactivating listings - let them ride out but be sure to have them on manual renewal so they expire at the end of their life on Etsy 😊
Do you think POD is over saturated? I'm thinking about digital products for people to use in their POD shop. Do you find that POD sellers create their own images, or purchase them?
POD is far from saturated. I get to see new sellers growing everyday in my mentorship group. To your question, what type of images are you referring to?
I'm thinking I'll be opening a product specific shop... well a few products. It seems that most RUclipsrs have gone that route. If I had a talent for a specific niche id be all over it, though. A mild critique: (You might want to look into getting a good microphone. Todays video sounded tinny. It would definitely up the professional quality of your videos. A bit of a slip but you left the blur on during part of the video. It wasn't covering anything important so all is good.) (I
I just want to add to the critique, I agree. You need to look into a new solution for your mic. And maybe even some sound-dampening material where you're recording. The echoing is bouncing everywhere.
🥳 General store. Sadly the thing I know most and am passionate for is not a well searched niche. I have several others I am working within but am not finding a stick. I did well with a particular type of ornament at the holidays but... >>sigh

Honestly thank you, I had just concluded I'd do both, do "generally popular" products AND go niche so I really needed this 😂appreciate you

Im glad that I bumped into your video.
There is a lot to think about.🤔😎☮️

I'm niche-specific I think. I opened my shop just a couple of months ago and still trying to stick to a schedule. Love you videos; very useful. 🥳
I am rooting for you! 💕 having a routine and schedule is so helpful!
You put your FOOT in this video, thanks so much for the great advice!
Btw, do you play sports? You have a basketball, lacrosse look about you ❤️

That’s okay about the emoji! Glad you stayed to watch the whole video through 😀 thank you so much!
I have a niche focused shop 🥳 but I feel that I am a bit behind on listings and it is still a work in progress. Hope to soon reach my 10th sale 🥳🥳🥳
What’s a good amount of minimum search volume to look for? I’ve mostly noticed from tutorials that it’s about 2000 or more. Is that correct?

Hey Taylor, I tried to use the coupon code 2024 to get $5 off on your niche calendar but it came back invalid. IS that the right code?
That code expired 1/31/24
@@TaylorPODoh ok...I thought since the video was only hours old, I did something wrong. Thanks
i opened my shop on etsy 3 days ago , but i didn't put any product on it, what's your advice for me?
I give a specific plan for what to do and how to determine what’s right for you in the video 😊
