      1 Corinthians 13
      New King James Version
      The Greatest Gift
13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body [a]to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not [b]puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, [c]thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is [d]perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

I just lost faith, if I get a bad haircut instead of getting mad I just think 'another one in my list' that is how frecuent it happens. I think I will get a classic haircut when it grows a little and let it grow for 1 year.

I stand an ironing board up against the bathroom door, then stick the mirror into the metal extension at the end of the ironining board - this allows me to angle the mirror and use the bathroom mirror to see all angles of my head. Very well done self fade. Some tips and advice for people new to cutting their own hair, don't try a skin fade until you have learned to blend a bit. And another technique to help blend more evenly is to get your lines established as shown and then use a comb upwards through the bottom of the line, exposing small amounts of hair through the teeth of the comb, then use your clippers against the comb. After using the comb to help cut small even amounts of hair where the lines meet finish off using the guards and upwards flicking motion. I've been doing my own fade haircuts for about 3 years now using many of the same techniques as the video.

It is intimidating as hell, no doubt...But if you don't need a really complex style and just want to cut your own hair so you can stay looking neat and cut it whenever you want, then a buzz is ideal. All the same length all around. Not really much to screw up (Unless you didn't clip the guide on right once and it slipped off and you sheared a big-ass bald square in your head. Which totally never happened to me once. >_>).

Thanks for your tips on using the guards with “opened and closed “ settings on the clippers. Today, I cut my own hair and lined my beard and It came out real nice. I have all the essentials tools clippers, shavers etc that you’d normally find at a barbershop. The one thing I did was setup a tripod with a small hand mirror, this way I could fade the back of my head symmetrical. It took me just over an hour, but in the grand schemes of things, I saved $50 plus tip, which is what barbers around the way are charging, plus travel time and gas. I cut my hair once a month, so as far as that goes, that’s a $600 savings a year. Thank you again for uploading the video.

Since cutting my own hair and doing my own fade (and saving A LOT of money), I realized that guards 1/2, 1, 2 and 3 are my best buds. Cutting your own hair with a fade takes skill and a lot of time to perfect. While all my friends are getting their haircut before Friday night, I've already cut mine in less than 30 minutes. Give it a try. It's ok to make a mistake the first try and your hair will grow back but eventually you'll be good at it and it becomes "memory". I spent several years going to a barber. While I still go to my favorite barber here and there for special occasions, I cut my own hair for casual days out. Problem is sometimes you get obsessed with cutting your own hair that maybe once a week, you're trimming it often.

Bro, This is EASILY the 101 on fading, Alex Fades upwards, like the only way that makes sense (if you're new) While all the other “Pros” Fade downwards with the lever open to make their guidelines, which makes everything so complicated for no reason. This is the ONLY tutorial I have found with NO BS, just tells you how to fade upwards, END of story. THANK you!

Have been cutting my hair for 6 years now and it is the best! I save on time and money and headaches from barbers that don't know what they are doing or understanding what I want (even with a photo) I've learned many hair cuts from tapers, mohawks, low fade to drop fade. How to take out volume and how to cut with shears. Even more of a gentleman's haircuts. Self taught! I recommend this to any one who is good with details, wants to save some money and time waiting in line at the barbers. I didnt come across 360 untill some later years and he helped keep a very clean fade look, but he needs to up his game on the shears

When cutting your own hair - never cut any portion of your head any shorter than you're willing to take it down all around. That way if you fuck up you can salvage it by just buzzing all around.
Might not be the style you wanted, but a buzz cut is always preferrable to looking like a goof or buying 3 new hats. =)
I've tried some more complex self cuts and every once in a while I'll finish, look at the mirror, and realize a goof with a bad haircut is staring back at me. So, just had to do the short buzz and try again next time. =)

Learning to cut your own hair takes time, I’ve cut my own hair around 50 times in the past 3 years and I still mess up sometimes. I have a few tips Thoe, 1. lighting is everything, make sure to have really good lighting while cutting your hair, I bought some battery bar lights for my mirror which helped me a lot, before I was doing it in low lighting which made it harder for me to see the guidelines, I was pretty much eyeballing it most times, 2. Make sure to buy some good clippers and trimmers, I bought the baByliss pro set for under $200 (best investment ever) they cut hair really sharp and smooth. 3. Make sure to oil down your clippers before any haircut so it’s a lot easier for the clipper to cut, when not oiled it makes it hard for the clippers to cut properly. 4. Always follow the metal line on the guards not the guard plastic end or you’ll get lost in every guideline. 5. Always cut on a flick out motion, never cut deep or else the guidelines are going to be much more difficult to erase. 6. If you are using cordless clippers make sure you charge them 100% so they are cutting at full potential. 7. Always make sure you brush off any loose hair so you keep a clean view. FINALLY. Make sure you are disinfecting your clippers, I wasn’t very careful with cleaning my clippers and developed a rash, now after every haircut I get a rash behind my head and it takes days to go away so please disinfect your clippers right.

This is a really difficult method for a self-haircut especially for someone just starting out. I've been cutting my own hair now (very similar hairstyle as the video) since the pandemic began and I've got it down great. I start with the skin line and then work my way up one guard at a time until it's blended instead of jumping all over the place. I don't move on until the previous guard line is eliminated. Makes it wayyyy easier in my opinion!

  • @jayelisan
    @jayelisan Год назад +1

Just cut my hair after 1.5 years of not doing it myself and…it went okay. 7/10 cut 😂
Here are some tips I think would help.
    1. This guy has his hair pretty leveled already! If you just start cutting your hair directly into the fade like he does the guidelines are going to be overlapped with the hair on top. I had to go higher on my fade because one side was higher! I’d recommend cutting your entire hair #8 and then start the fade. I find it much easier to to do his initial steps and after erasing lines I don’t go to the #2 guard to clean up bulk. I go down the ladder of numbers, so if you start at #8 like I said initially you can fade your hair from #7-#2 guard all around your head for each. It’s much more time consuming, but it’s less confusing imo.
    2. Definitely invest in a second mirror my fade came out sloppy because I couldn’t see the back or cut behind my ears properly because all I have is a small handheld mirror. Going to look into the 360 degree mirror kit.
    3. It’s never gonna be perfect. The first few times are rough and you’ll probably have to rock your patchy hair with noticeable mistakes like me haha. You’ll get better over time and save a lot of $ too!
Overall great tutorial though; no hate just some input!
