- I finally got a rod/reel setup to fish for BIG fish at the end of the fishing pier! This is my first time ever trying to use this complicated fishing rig for big fish! I did not think I would ever eat this kind of fish! Let alone catch one of these form the pier! We head out to go saltwater fishing at a new pier in North Florida with a mission - eat whatever I catch. What kind of fish would be around a pier like this?? We attempt to catch clean and cook whatever we hook into.. I did not expect for this to happen..

bro! this video slapped. i know how intimidating the pier can be. i spent years at the shallow end of the pier and i had the gear to fish the end! was purely intimidated by the culture. props to you for overcoming that barrier quick and accessing a whole new world of fishing. cant wait to see what else you nail out there

Great to see you exploring outside your comfort zone & targeting the larger species out there 👍🏻 You definitely don't need to just fish the end of the jetty to get big fish & there's many other float & sinker setups to target fish/sharks. Also try fishing off breakwaters some great fishing to be had there too, although with your moonboot a bit harder to access at the moment. Keep at it & looking forward to you chasing more big fish & maybe even one day catching Gyarados 😉

Hell yeah! Now you're florida fishing! Have to keep at least half the fish though. What if you like it and want more? Experience is the best though. I've never seen a rig like that though.

Kingfish is good eats but when you take home more than 1 you better have a lot of friends to give some fish to because it gets mushy quicker than a lot of other fish. Congratulations on your first one my guy!

Great catch buddy, you're humble and awesome😎. Don't let others bully you. Ive caught a few kings off the Boynton beach and Deerfield beach pier. Never had an anchor rod, just a $50 walmart ugly stick combo. Have some great vlogs of tuna and dorado catches where i live in the Philippines. Going to Palawan in a few weeks, a fishing Mecca here. Do a temu survival challenge. No budget but you get the biggest backpack they have and whatever will fit in it. Rod, lures, shelter, sleeping bag/pad, saw, fire starter, just whatever you find. Rule is must be temu and fit inside the backpack.
We call it "Pin Rigging" in the Outer Banks,NC. Many hours are spent waiting for that big one.

Instead of rubber bands, id try planer board clips, meant to hold lines while trolling until you get struck. Just an idea never tried this style of fishing myself

If a pier has kingfish that allows casting lures at the front, I'd use a size 14 Xrap for kingfish on 9-10ft spinning gear
