    Alcaraz was already really good back then, but Zverev was at his best in Acapulco last year. Excited to see them clash again.

    • @robertreed9818
      @robertreed9818 2 года назад

      Yes, I need to know what happened to Zverev between this match and now. Has his confidence become shaken by something or someone in his personal life? Look at the way he set up his winners. He was legit controlling the match. He looked like he was prepared to become a worthwhile competitor; but now, you don't see the same level of gameplay, strategy, or athleticism. If he cannot tap into THIS Zverev, I think Alcaraz will easily dominate this match.

    • @commondirtbagz7130
      @commondirtbagz7130 2 года назад

      @@robertreed9818 the narrative changed that’s all. Back in 2021 the story was that Djokovic was going for the calendar, Medvedev was about to breakthrough, and zverev was right behind. There was a race going on between which of those two would get their slam first and zverev was seen as threat and he knew it.

    • @robertreed9818
      @robertreed9818 2 года назад

      @@commondirtbagz7130 So, are you saying he lost favor in the media and that shook his confidence? Well, I'm going to need him to find it again, because this is going to be a boring few years of tennis if we only have one person dominating the top of the leader boards.

    • @commondirtbagz7130
      @commondirtbagz7130 2 года назад

      @@robertreed9818 yeah that’s what I’m saying. And I agree, people saying he’s the future of tennis while I concur, don’t seem to understand how boring it will be if we have another Federer in the 2000’s without a nadal.

    Zverev actually had a forehand in 2021, Alcaraz is now more faster,powerful and polished
    Although he can't attack Sascha's backhand like he had an advantage in that exchange vs Djokovic(which is unusual), he has a very good chance to win the title
    Zverev ain't playing that well but 1 match clicks him on many atimes like vs Djokovic Olympics, ATP finals.
    I hope for an epic match

      @@asdknjakljye There are some tests for doping in tennis, no? I don't think he would risk ruining his career and talent by using anything illegal. It's possible to build up muscles in a year for someone who has nothing else to do, only play tennis and do the workout. Also in that age the body can really get strong quite quickly, especially for a guy with the right genes, which he obviously has. Jannik Sinner should also build up his body to be more competitive against top players and survive the heavy schedule of the tour. He's also a great talent but he's been too fragile lately.

    Alcaraz has a chance to win today of course, but he needs to take in account that Zverev is a tall dude so that kick serve won't hurt him as much as it did on Nadal & Djokovic. He's gonna need to make an adjustment to keep these balls low to mess with Zverev's contact point on his strokes.

    Depends on Zverev. If he starts making tons of unforced errors and double faults, easy win for Alcaraz. But if he plays like can, with great serving, groundstrokes and movement, he has a chance. People often forget how good Zverev is when his game is on.
