Agreed! Too many people just piss and moan about how it isn't Slipknot without Joey and Paul. It's so silly to live in the past like that, Joey and Paul are gone, there's nothing anybody can do about that. Vman and Eloy are absolutely bringing the heat playing those parts perfectly and then some. They seriously go above and beyond doing justice for Joey and Paul!
I got the chance to see them Aug 15th and Eloy makes them sound so great. Like I did like Jay, and I saw them three times with him, but on the old stuff it just never sounded right live. After seeing them play self titled all the way thru with Eloy it felt like old Slipknot was back. The energy was incredible. I felt like a teenager again lol
@@adamgouveia7590 I agree 100% !! Jay is a great drummer and all, but he kinda did his own thing and it never really felt the same, especially with the old stuff. This happens with countless bands when they have to fill the shoes of a departed iconic musician, especially a drummer. Eloy is the absolute best they could possibly ask for: he brings Joey's spirit but takes it to a whole new level. He's also extremely versatile and brings so much extra to the table. We're all very lucky to have him! 😆🤘

All respect to Jay and all but Eloy brought back the SlipKnot flavor in my opinion and it really does show how much the style of the drummer affects the overall sound of the band. Joey and Paul would be stoked.
