    As a barber who charges $45 a cut, i couldn’t give someone a 20 minute haircut. That’s pretty much says a lot about the barber. It says I don’t care about my craft, it says Im trying to make the most money possible just busting out cuts. I would be pretty disappointed paying for that half assed cut.

      @noahvaldez4508  2 года назад +1

      From a professional standpoint, it’s hard to say one did better. The higher end shop did leave more obvious lines, however the the lower end shop had a really random fade pattern, but not as many lines. But I agree, the price point didn’t match the quality.

    If a shop is charging $45 for a cut, I would expect for them to take their time. Im not saying a whole hour but at least focus on details. I usually do a really clean skin fade in 30 minutes and I will still take another 3-5 minutes to detail and look for things that need to be worked on. $19 I would hope to be in and out so the haircut they gave you had some things that could be improved but I was expecting worse. Probably have to go with the 1st shop. But I have to agree with you its so much easier to use your guards than clipper over comb for a buzz cut. More efficient

    • @noahvaldez4508
      @noahvaldez4508  Год назад

      Yea you hit the nail on the head. And to this day I have no idea why they both used clipper over comb, it boggles my mind lol. I feel like it just makes it harder for themselves.

    Awesome video. I'd have to disagree with your ratings, though. Neither haircut was good. I'd give the first shop a 3 (agreeing with you) and the second shop a 2. That second fade was no better than the first--and maybe a bit worse. They both had terrible transitions into the top--with all those corners. The second shop left a "step" at the crown. I probably would not return to either shop, and I DEFINITELY would not pay $45 for the second cut. That was ridiculous. BTW, my barber is excellent and charges me $15 for a high bald fade with a buzzed top. He spends about 30 minutes on each cut. I pay him $25. He's excellent and totally consistent. I get a cut every 14 days.

    • @noahvaldez4508
      @noahvaldez4508  Год назад +2

      The haircuts alone were pretty equal from the standpoint of a professional barber. The only reason I gave a higher rating to the 2nd shop was because of the experience. They gave a hot towel neck shave and the vibe was better. But judging the haircuts alone they were pretty equal.
      But Thankyou for your feedback and input!! It’s much appreciated.

    Honestly it goes down to your reputation in life as a person. If you care about your lifestyle and how people look at you then you'd have to get a cut at the fancy shop, so that if someone recognizes you they have a good impression of you as oppose you getting a cut at a mediocre looking shop. Both shops cut basically the same except one looks better than the other so you can flex on people

    • @noahvaldez4508
      @noahvaldez4508  2 года назад

      I will admit, the hot towel and neck shave was a nice experience at the higher end shop. But I don’t think that alone justifies a 36$ difference. However, At the end of the day, the haircut I’m walking around with isn’t changed by a hot towel and neck shave.
      Was an interesting experience to say the least.

Finally, low key it kinda pisses me off that they charged you 45 bucks and they couldn't take their time and detail on a simple haircut.
