What does it mean to "V out " the bark on the bottom side?
So my lemon tree has always had alot of lemons i mean alot. So i noticed that alot of lemons just died on the tree so i took them off i had some dusting sulfur and i thrsw it all over the tree. I also noticed ants so i sprayed bug spray not alot.. Now my tree gas alot of lemons that are just green they wont get ripe its been 3 months and they are still green not 1 yellow one and this has never happened before it has allways had alot of lemons. What do i do???
I had that happen with a papaya tree where the fruit was fully developed but stayed green. I added one cup of Epsom salt to 5 gallons of water and watered all around the tree. 2 weeks later the fruit began ripening normally.
Where you living? It’s called criturs greening.
The ants were playing an important roll within the lemon tree's sophisticated eco-system. Your mistake was killing them. I advise laying down a layer of compost and oak wood chips to boost your bio-matter.

Another thing you can do with an old tree like this is to completely remove it and plant a new tree.
A new tree will require a lot less care and you can start pruning and shaping it the right way from the beginning.

I mean, no vaccines, but let's kill this healthy tree and out in a smaller one. Works for street trees, right? Smh.
