I have this bottle and use it all the time, I'm boat skipper and have this bottle on direct sun all day +40° (probabley it was not brightest idea to buy black bottle) but it keeps water cold all day. Only thing that I don't like is that cap can be little hard to take off sometimes and dust gets around area where you drink and then you have to remove magnet cap part and clean that grove. If I was buying new bottle now I would buy YETI 34oz with chug cap.
I've had my old 32oz plastic Camelbak Chute for quite a while and it has lasted. Seen the new Chute mags and had to see if they kept the classic small lid tether design.
I have a Chute Mag 40oz, I have it paired with a $10 "tactical" water bottle holder. I'm a USAF maintainer and the 40oz capacity, paired with the holder that im able to molle strap to my belt. winning combo on the flightline. I had another water bottle issued to me and I rarely use it. I prefer to use the CamelBak.
Can’t decide if I want this or the Fit Cap version. Also stuck between the 25oz and 32oz. 25oz seems like the perfect size to carry around with you while the 32oz seems more like a take to work bottle that can keep you more hydrated.
oof tough decisions all around! i tend to fill mine with ice, so anything smaller than 32 oz and I'd be refilling it too often. But 25oz is way more portable...let me know what you chose!
Thank you for this review. It gave me a good idea of some functionalities of the water bottle that I am actually looking for. I've been using Camelbak Camp mug for months now, and probably cop one of these Chute Mags in Moss Green color. :)
My empty Camelbak cup, with the cap opened, fell off my coffee table onto the carpet. The angle at which it fell caused the hinge (crease) to break off. So yes, it is a very weak link. I filed a claim and they sent me a new cap for free. They stand by their products! I have several sizes and all the caps are interchangeable. The colors last too! I have to use Contigo (another good company) for my hot drinks because I can't see putting my fingers into a cap to open and close it and then have the liquid I drink come in contact with it. Hope they design a better hot cap.
How easy for it to clean? Does it have some deep nook and cranny that hard to reach when cleaning? This is one the leading problems i have, the build of dirty things like mold
Bought the bottle because of this review. Wanted to purchase it through your link but it was a $30 markup when converted for USD to AUD. Nevertheless, fantastic review. P.s. I also want to be a one bottle man but am torn between straws and straight up guzzling
@@bottlestoconsider1147 it’s great except sometimes the cap looks like it’s on and I put it sideways in my car and it slowly spills out. Just gotta double check the cap’s actually on, totally my fault
Do you know if these are the same size as the plastic versions? I have the mag style lid on the eddy models and love it. Looking at these stainless options but worried they won’t fit in a cars cup holder.
The spout is a great size. I don't think it's dishwasher safe, though I don't know if that just means the finish on the outside will fade, or if something bigger could go wrong.
You're so weird, but it's awesome. You remind me of my buddy. It would be really great if you got an electronic caliper to measure the radius of each bottle. I'm still in search of the perfect cycling bottle and i keep coming across your channel. You've def found a niche.
@@bottlestoconsider1147 I ended up getting the polar insulated bottles off amazon. When it gets really hot I might bend my bottle cage to fit my yeti rambler. I really didn't want to use soft plastic bottles and the insulation isn't great but they really are the best to use while cycling.
Hi ! On CamelBak and Amazon website they said that the 32oz and the 40oz has the same diameter (3.74 in / 9,5cm). But on this video : ruclips.net/video/It_uRp1EQH4/видео.htmlsi=cBiBmt4BgtTwuXhl It doesn't seems that they have the same diameter, the 40oz diamater seems bigger. So I would like to know what is the diameter of this 32oz bottle ? Thanks.

been using the Camelbak Chute Mag for a few years now. my tried and tested EDC, recommended for any outdoor occasion. better than an Owala
How is the crease of the bottle? Does it last long?

Glad I could help
You need to try the awala Walmart brand bottle. I have one. It has both a straw and a drinking spot. You can do both simultaneously or either or.
I got the smaller version in the Moss colour and love it!
I'm glad to hear!
Thank you for the info and the enthusiasm! Will be getting one myself after watching this!

I wish they made the 50oz in stainless steel. Huge fail by Camelback with Stanley having a 50oz IceFlow.

Hmm - I'd imagine the stainless steal are a little bigger (since the walls are thicker), but I can't say for sure.
Trying to decide between the 1L and 1.2L version. This would be for work/study so have to consider lugging it around. Which one would you recommend?
Personally, I'd recommend 1.2L, though you might want to test out/verify if both can fit in your backpack, cupholder, if possible. Good luck!
How has the weak point magnetic cap held up? Did it break off yet?
It's held up well so far!
Also the spout looks like it's the perfect size. Is the bottle dishwasher safe?
The spout is a great size. I don't think it's dishwasher safe, though I don't know if that just means the finish on the outside will fade, or if something bigger could go wrong.
Online it says the cap and vessel are dishwasher safe.
Im considering purchasing this bottle. Do you still use it and is it holding up?
Yes, holding up great!

Straws get nasty and dirty and are hard to clean in these types of bottles.
That's true, though with the right tools I think they can be cleaned effectively, and are a worth the hassle!
