@Kipitreel Love this question! After finishing university, I wanted to gain international experience, so I started looking for entry-level jobs in Europe and found an internship in Munich. Fun fact: it was in sales, which wasn't the right fit for me, haha. However, since I had minored in marketing during my Master's and had always been fascinated by the subject, I was able to switch to a marketing role within the same company-that's how my career in marketing began. There was a lot of learning and self-study involved, especially due to the different tools used in digital marketing.
My advice would be (if you already have some marketing experience) to start applying to job offers on LinkedIn, Xing, Glassdoor, or StepStone-and don't be shy! Just apply and be bold. Ultimately, you'll find a good job if you speak fluent English (German is a plus, but not strictly necessary). If you don’t have experience in digital marketing yet, I’d recommend looking for an internship where you can start learning while doing some self-study on the side. The great thing is that internships in Germany are paid, so you can move there with a degree of financial independence.
I hope this helps, and best of luck with your job search! ☺️
