A little introduction for those who don’t know Giuk - formerly known as CyA! ^^
Deobis might remember him as the one who produced Sunwoo's soundcloud song 광합성, the first they uploaded, and who featured in his other soundcloud song 사람 하나 (Prod. wavytrbl)!
He and Sunwoo are friends from when they were Hanlim classmates. They are part of a crew called Named late with Luminous’ Woobin and soloists RARE and Gray dot. They are all friends ☺️
Giuk is the rapper, bassist, maknae and one of the songwriters of band Onewe, since their beginning as MAS 0094 in 2015. He got his first songwriting credit then, when he was 15 years old: he heard of “comfort women” victims and wrote the lyrics of their MAS 0094 debut song “Butterfly, finding flower” for them. They donated their proceeds to charity, and the whole group volunteered at a nursing home.
This song is included in his solo debut album! The title track is TIME MACHINE, please check it out ☺️
He’s heavily involved in the album production: all songs have been written, composed and arranged by him, with the participation of featuring friends like Sunwoo or their overseeing company producer in some of them. He also decided the tracklist order and participated in album conceptualizing and video editing for the highlight medley.
Some additional facts about him:
- Multitalented: he can also play piano, acoustic guitar, recorder/danso, some drums
- Prolific composer who’s written, composed and arranged many of Onewe’s songs, and even participated in writing/producing songs for other artists like Purple Kiss, Oneus or The Boyz’ Sunwoo
- He currently has 79 KOMCA credits, making him one of the top 10 most copyrighted 4th gen idols!
- He’s a soundcloud rapper (username Giuk2) with 43 currently available tracks, several collabs and more now-deleted tracks
- He’s also learned some graphical design to create his own album covers, as well as technical skills like recording, mixing and mastering
- He owns and plays both 5-string and 4-string basses!
- He’s left-handed, but plays with his right hand
- Has three (known) tattoos
- He likes painting his own nails
- Loves leopard print, because it reminds him of his mother :)
