Dominick Johnston the R6 and ZX6R are fairly close in power to weight ratio. Both have factory sprockets. Not surprised if they're about the same. And that is definitely a 2012 R6. Says it on the frame. I had a chance to ride them both. That R6 is quick but lacks torque. The gears are perfectly matched to the engine. Weight distribution was very well and the seating position makes the rider prepared for maneuvering around. Which probably explains why they vote it #1 for track comparison every year and why it remained the same from 2008-2016. It's already a well built 600cc supersport. Where as the 08 ZX6R was pretty much a brute force 600cc supersport. And went through 2 generations from 2007-2012. Well there's always more room for improvement.
@@bassinburban8928 There is two variations of the ZX6R, the old ZX6R that is a straight 600cc used in the World SBK, and then the ZX6R 636 which came out in 2013 that comes with better power (obviously), better chassis and electronics.

However I would say out of all the R6 is the quickest, and the Cbr the slowest of the bunch, but by so little it is barely noticeable. R6 2008 is the most bhp put down by a 600. No 600 will beat it. I know it's an old video but even today the ZX6R is such an amazing bike, more horsepower and slightly better power/weight yet less fuel consumption and emissions than the Yamaha, and that's comparing the street legal ZX6R to the Race variant of the R6 (doesn't seem to be a street legal variant available in the EU), imagine the dominance of the ZX6R with a few mods to save weight and an ECU flash, especially the stock exhausts are very heavy on Kawasaki bikes
Eh. Who cares a 600 is a 600 and a 1000 is a 1000, they are all the same, especially the Japanese ones, just pick your favorite color lol. But seriously, all Japanese supersports come with trash suspension and trash brakes compared to euro bikes that’s why their brakes and suspension always gets changed out if they are track bikes. so it doesn’t matter what you pick at the end of the day. I run a lot faster on the track than a lot of ZX6Rs on my R6 on the track and there are people a lot faster than I am on a cbr600. Doesn’t matter which one you got they are all the same class lmao.
