In general, it is primarily about the fear installed by the media and politicians, and how we went from a communal life to what we have today, with hate, fear, paranoia, distrust towards each other, and media fuelling it all up because it sells.

The black man is a boogie man. But it has a dual purpose here because it also refers to racist hate of immigration being used to manipulate people. You can see the refugee camp at the beginning and the things they are eating at the end used to have a racist name. Did you notice the band members also play the cheerleaders when they are in the triangular formation approaching the camera. Great costume and makeup!
Your interpretation was on point. There is so much room for interpretation in this video. At the beginning they had a good Life and good relations with their neighbour. Enjoying Barbecue, mowing the lawn...nothing to worry about. But then they fell into the trap of the Media, that is planting fear into their mind. They build up walls, watching the neighbour (who were once friends) closely. Only consume one "news" source and living in a bubble, that don´t except other Opinions. It still happens everyday on this World with different politcal Parties. If you think a about time back then, you could discuss with other People and now many people just don´t want that anymore. If you have another Opionion, they shut you down. In the End they are isolated, so in fear of strangers, foreign People, People who are different from the Opinions and even their neighbours. The Trigger-Finger is rdy to defend themselves from a self created fear, that they shoot up there own Place. Then everthings breaks and falls apart. Really love the deeper meanings of their Songs. There comes a time when lovers of good lawns start buying bricks. Guns, like everything else, don't get to them for free either, I think. Fear is literally being sold to them for their money. And this leads them to a diet, to an old TV that broadcasts what they are so afraid of. Something that is very strange to be afraid of. And there are cheerleaders who are happy with what is happening from start to finish. I think cheerleaders are really scary by nature. The only people scarier than them are those who stand behind them. And who got their piece of bloody meat because of it.

In Germany the Schwarze Man is the Bogeyman. The immigrants are the woman and child, the rest is self explanatory
