FYI, the cheek meat right below the eye on the fish head is considered to be the best tasting meat of a fish. It is highly prized on larger fish and sometimes considered a delicacy. Great EMT!

The Japanese make their food look so beautiful that you want to try it, which is a good thing, but I know I'd probably run into beautiful things that I really wouldn't like the first time. I guess you just have to jump in and at least give items a couple of tries to sort them out and find out what you like.

The cost of the meal is definitely a down Factor but overall that looked really awesome. I was particularly intrigued by the first entree with the fish eggs. I wanted to try that texture so bad. LOL great job Eric on finding this menu.
So all these videos I've seen you use shoyu and thought it was a special Japanese sauce. I just looked it up out of curiosity, and found out it's soy sauce. I feel like an idiot now. 🤣
When Eric says "very exotic" I think he's implying that's it's a very acquired taste and he's not really at that stage yet!!!! Keep it up.
Most of the time they hammer it to soften it up otherwise it's not very good.

Chirashi sushi is the best value sushi over there, especially at those little fish market stalls. Kuromon market in Osaka is my favorite
