I've been a Bengals fan for 45+ years. The front office has been taking baby steps on how they typically do things for the betterment of the team over the last 5 seasons. I believe this off-season will be a monumental period for the organization. Everyone knows you can't pay everyone, BUT if they figure out a way to pay Chase, Tee, and Hendrickson......WOW!!!! What a statement that would be for the organization, Team, and City.
    CHEERS to ALL

Same. I came in just behind you in 1970. They’ve already cost themselves probably $10M per year on Ja’Marr by delaying last year’s negotiations. If they don’t keep Ja’Marr, Trey and Tee, they can move the team to Cleveland for all I care.

Agreed but they may need to actually sign after March 1st iirc... some date in March so that guaranteed money doesn't have to go into escrow until next year otherwise it's suppose to go into escrow this year iirc... but they should be able to get Tee and/or Trey done before that. That is if escrow is still a real thing... rumors that the Browns never put all or any into escrow for Deshaun

Bottom line: The team has made unparalleled gains in worth. Pay back Cincy & the fans worldwide by having some consistency & not making everything about money for the team. Share with the team the good you receive from their sweat & tears. Care more & pay players what they are worth. If you can’t then go to NFL & raise ceiling.

James you’re absolutely right. It can all be realistically done. The problem is this front office won’t do it for 1 simple reason that I’ve said for years. Mike Brown and the Blackburns don’t view winning as a priority. They want to spend as little as possible to sell out games and make a little profit. Winning is not something they prioritize like other (GOOD) franchises do.

Glad to see him take his career & future seriously enough to talk to & impact team roster. You need to give the team what it needs. Even with Chase & Higgins Zach needs to iron out. No freebies or loses at beginning of season. They need all they can get and more. They need the intangibles. None of them brought it. I don’t think it’s as easy as firing the coaches. They need more. But every game every year counts. Losing in a remarkable year brings it home that they need something deeper to play for.

Joe Burrow has sacrificed his body for 5 years and put up with bad drafting and a caca O line that nearly gets him killed every time he steps back to pass. Taylor and the front office are bumble brains. I wasnt impressed with what Tobin said at all. A lot of front office speak with no specifics.
Joe has been quiet for 4 years but after this years horrendous start (about par for Zac Taylor) he's fed up with it. Yeah he's been paid but nothing out of line of what he deserves given he's a top 3 QB if not the best and that includes Mahomes. He knows he's in his prime and if the championships dont come in the next few years, they will not come. Another bad start by Zac and if the defensive coaching changes and O line coach dont produce a team playing for the AFC championship, its time to move on. He's not going to put up with front office excuses about why they could not sign this player or that player.

James you hit the nail on the head. No more of the excuses of not being able to pay. Before Joe was drafted he talked to Bengals management about this exact issue. They assured him they were committed. Well the time has arrived and they better hold true . If not the fanbase will turn their backs on the Bengals. Because they will know that the Bengals misled Joe and if they will do that to a franchise player, they won’t think twice about doing it to them. The Bengals Management, the Blackburn Family, and Mike Brown are on the clock and if they don’t do this, the Bengals Organization is DEAD.

The reason is a 2 horse team now. Chase is ridiculous. The confidence those to inspire…… there is no drive against any team they can’t score on whenever they need to and the more desperate the situation the better they both play. It’s insane. I’ll give that one to Tee Higgins also. The rougher the situation the better for Tee. He starts playing like a man possessed. He lives for the clutch moments. That is why he wants to stay because his quarterback does also and succeeding in those moments is addicting. When you feel like there is nothing you can’t will into existence if you just put in enough effort. These 3 players are special together.

Look. Dont lose your identity Bengals. The NFlL sucks when every team is temporary. We want loyalty at least for a long time. Otherwise it’s a shuffle and no team has identity. Caleb is right he should want to be established for 20 years. You want returning fans year after year they want their team’s identity tear after year, year after year. Why? Because you need to nurse connections. If you do t fans lose interest!
They say you take Mixon & move him to Texans & I don’t get to root for him anymore. & that sucks for Cincy fans. Coaches need to keep & develop players.
Higgins, Chase & Burrow are the identity of Cincy. It’s not like a misfit at a team & fans will let them go. No, they are the very Cincy team. Don’t take rooting for them away unless you want to have a much less profitable & worthless franchise. The QB can’t play alone. He needs his team.
So ask #Bengals front office & let Joe have the say. And if he wants to keep 8. Let him. Make it work. Sell more concessions & pay. You need to be true to your loyal fans. In Los Angeles they said Cincy fans were the nicest. So be kind to your nicest fans and keep the players they love & that will win them a SB.

You have to understand what the goal is of this franchise. That is to put a team on the field. That is being blunt. They put a team on the field, they state what they can and cannot afford at the RIGHT time. This isn't the RIGHT time yet. That time will come but being optimistic or hopeful NOW is better than nixing all that by delivering bad news right now. If and when for example, Tee Higgins, or even anyone else is offerred a deal, agrees to it, signs it, whatever is binding, then the time has come for Duke and Doom to speak out and try and just verbally console to fans for a moment and facilitate moving forward to the draft, OTAs, Training Camp, the season, etc. That is the way the game OFF the field is played in Cincinnati.

Doesnt his daughter handle alot of front office stuff now? Even so, I'd imagine the old man has to still have the final say. He runs it like your local small town Dairy Queen. They need to pay for the pieces they need. I think Burrow is the best pure passer in the whole league. He doesnt scramble and run like some of the others do, but hes mobile enough.

If the front office gets this done,, I'll buy a membership and I might be able to get to another game but if they mess up,, then I'm sure the Bungles tag will live on forever as the BIGGEST BUNGLE OF ALL TIME.
C'mon you guys and we all know it's more than a game. Don't run out of ink front office or they'll be running out to God knows where.

Joe's a very intelligent guy and very grounded, but he also knows that he can be a historic quarterback if he has the right team around him. The question is whether the Brown family learned their lesson after Carson Palmer. But if they don't get this stuff done, look for Burrow to play his heart out this season, and if they fall short again, he will say "my talents are being wasted here," and go somewhere ownership is committed to winning.

They don't need to worry about Trey. He will walk. He is strictly business. He's made that clear before. Possibly the best free agent signing ever at the position. The make your future doctrine of Paul Brown 70 yrs ago. Can not function in 2025. Remember the 81 team and the USFL. A third of that superbowl team left to seek their fortunes, the following season.

The national media is pushing a narrative that the bengals can’t afford these guys when the Bengals have plenty of cash. It’s a detriment to the fans and only benefits a front office that wants to be bailed out if the end up failing at something so easy. There is no rookie or free agent that is available that amounts to the value of tee Higgins
