In french "la lave" is "[the] lava" but because you wrote it alone the google gave the french verb "laver" (to wash) : "je lave" = "I wash".
Tip : always write a little phrase or sentence in any translator to give it context so it will less probably translate poorly. 🙂

Lave is french for lava. The reason why it translates to "wash" is because it's the conjugation of the verb "laver", which means wash.

"La lave" translates to "The lava" because there's a determinant in front of it, but just "lave" can be translated as wash because google doesn't know if it's supposed to be a determinant or a pronoun before, so he thinks he must translate "il lave" (which means "he wash").
"Lave" means "wash" (or lava), and not "washing" or "to wash". "To wash" is "laver" and "washing" is "en train de laver"
Ans this is why you should always look up at all the available translation and take the onetha makes more sense, because "Wash converts into source" makes less sense than "Lava converts into source" :)

I know that this has nothing to do with the video, but I had an idea for the new bookshelves. What if we have the ability to dye books, (they’re made out of leather so it makes sense) and then we’ll be able to put them in the bookshelf and the different colors will appear in the bookshelves! Also I think that we should be able to put book and quills in the bookshelves (obviously those will be dyeable as well)

Actually it is refering to Lava. In french, Lave has multiple definitions.
There is:
-Lave as in some of the conjugations for the verb Laver(wash)(such as in present tense under 3rd person)
-Lave as in Lava, the liquid you fell into after mining your first diamonds
In this case, it is obviously refering to Lave as in Lava, not as in Wash.

Honestly, seems a little terrifying as well. If you need to clear out a lava pool, buckets would be much less useful as any little corner would become an infinite pool lol
Infinite fuel for furnaces doesn't seem balanced imo. If you had to make the trip to the nether or caves to fill up your buckets, okay. But this seems a little much?
