Some people requested me to share some drum-cam footage shot during one of my band's live-shows.
Here is Feuer Frei, performed by my Dutch Rammstein tribute band 'Vannstein' at the Hardrockfest in the Belgian city of Avelgem.
P.s. Due to some difficulties with the fire-alarm at the venue unfortunately we weren't allowed to use our pyrotechnics.

Great song and great cover! What happened to the “stripped” cover? I can listen to that masterpiece all day. From one drummer to another.

You are amazing drummer but i dont like copying of someone famous. Playing their music is one thing, it is ok and your band is doing well, but that how is your band trying to look like Rammstein is kind of stupid. Just my opinion, great musicians anyway :-)

Hey Phil, thanks for your message, I appreciate the feedback and although I respect your opinion, I do not agree with it. :P Of course anyone would prefer to see the real Rammstein, but their shows are not accessible to most people: They don't play that often, their shows are sold out very fast and the tickets are expensive so not everyone is able or can afford to go see them. This is where tribute bands come in... Of course it's not the same we know that (don't take it all too seriously), but we can provide at least a little taste of the experience.
I agree that dressing up and trying to look like the real band would not make sense for many bands. Take Metallica for example: There's nothing about their stage-appearance that's really unique, they don't have costumes, no props (except for Cunning Stunts of course), just 4 guys with their instruments, it's all about their music. Rammstein on the other hand is, beside their music, famous for their shows: Their pyrotechnics, their stage, their lighting, their costumes, their props and their antics. That's what makes Rammstein 'Rammstein'.
So in my opinion in case of a Rammstein tribute band the use of costumes, pyros, a custom stage, lighting and props does add to the experience for the crowd.
All in all, next to our day jobs this band provides us some extra income, Rammstein receive their royalties, the venues make profit and every show I see hundreds, sometimes thousands of people having a great time. A win-win-win-win-situation. I don't really see what is 'stupid' about that... :-)

I can see what you mean and i agree with you :-) I just dont like it. There is no offense against you or your band :). Maybe i wrote it wrong, maybe it looks like offense but it is not.
