Saurus is one of the only battle rappers who actually respects opponents lines and doesnt just stand there with a douchebag angry face rolling his eyes at every line lmao, respect to him
i never would have thought this would be a classic. this is the best battle ive seen in a long time. not a gun line festival, but real rap battle. we need to bring this form of battle rap back
yo to be honest.. one thing that i feel aye verb keeps alive is the actually " Rapping" aspect of this sport.. He isnt battle talking... he isnt just rhyming his words and setting up punches. He there is a flow, cadence, delivery and he has an objective to his rounds.. In his first round he set up the fact that he is someone that is on a higher level than thesaurus in all of these aspects.. however the casual fan just looks for the punches... not the overall message. I think we need to keep the idea of actually rapping alive in this sport.. otherwise its is spoken word.. Not rap.
Why is this Verb not the Verb we always see? Because this Verb is a Verb that Verb can't provide very often. Once in a blue moon type shit. The Saurus came in and beat him at his own game and I don't even like The Saurus.
In the PPV Saurus took (I timed it) 7 seconds of silence and "hold on" before he even took that phone out. Just in case anyone's trying to say it wasn't a true choke.
Homeskool MC Homeskool MC wowwww!!!! word fool lookin out for that important info... tryin to protect battlers and shit... I swear that shit madd corny... and I had thesaurus winning that battle but what round did he choked in my g... I'm lightweight pissed at this ducking battle now...
Same here! I always look at the battle like when lighting struck and buster douglas got the W against Tyson. Everyone knows Verb is on an elite level and way above someone like a kshine. What people don't know/remember is: tyson actually knocked buster down and the ref fck'ed up the count and he was on the floor like for 11 seconds, tyson was burning from the clap that night (he caught earlier that week in tokyo), tyson did not training for the fight, tysons corner didn't even have all the tools that night...they really just thought he KO him in the 1st rd and go home. Not making excuses, just facts and buster did what he had to do and won. Verb vs shine: of course all of harlem was there to boo verb no matter what he said, k started the ruckus when smack tried to calm down the crowd, verb was clowning and didn't take shine seriously (almost can't blame him), then ironically like 2 weeks later Verb/Hitman 3-0'ed k & dna at a 2 on 2.
Comments are crazy. I felt like this was an awesome performance by Verb. He was 2-0 going into the third and almost had it but Saurus took that round. 2-1 Verb.
Black Bull they both had comedy in the third. TheSaurus didn't perform bad, had a slip up but Verb was really great especially in this not-so-big venue. The third rd imo was the only debatable rd.
It's a shame this doesn't have at least half a million views. Two legends. A classic, this is probably the battle I rewatch the most from either of them 2. It's short, to the point and very competitive 2-1 either way.
Kotd Videos are as long as Smack Intros these days. That being said this has good replay value, and this is how battles should be imo. Both artists came with it, the crowd had reactions but wasn't gassing the battle or dead/silent. I just can't believe this is 16 mins. (In a good way) Also thank you Kotd for the dope visuals!!
I can't believe I'm watching this battle for a first time now. The fans won. Verb had three fire rounds with a lyrical masterpiece. The Saurus mixed up his rounds with dope freestyles, a little bit of jokes, and some hard punchlines. I don't feel like giving a win or loss to either of them. Amazing battle!
313 RD remember when people used to be shocked when a battle was 30+ minutes lol. punk ass clips one off vs x factor started these long ass hour long battles
This is an example of when culture clashes in battle rap work… I always revisit this battle from time to time and it is still as good as the last time!
The first battle I've seen in about six years that I'd call a pure tie. Both fellas did great! Shouts to Aye Verb on the retirement announcement. Good luck in your future endeavors. Thank you for the body of work you've created in one of the most memorable eras of the game.
Timothy Leon right. Somebody can repeat a line to me from a battle that I've never seen and I can tell by the line who may have said it with the vets but the young ones? Nah
In the building this was decent (I'm glad I finally got to see a good Verb performance live after his Caustic and Illmac battles), but it's actually a pretty solid sparring session on camera. I personally had Saurus edging it 2-1, with Saurus taking the 1st and 3rd, while Verb took the 2nd (although I could see how someone could give Verb the 1st, he was really good there). Looking forward to watching this a bunch again and again, especially since it's only about 15 minutes long. Salute to KOTD, Avocado and J-Pro for making this happen at the best venue in all of battle rap!
Saurus killed it. 3-0 no question. Verb had short rounds and had people quoting his OLD bars like, who else quoted that, oh yeah, Canibus! Even watch Vera's face in Saurus' 3rd round, he knew he got cooked
Im back watching this. This has so much replay value
Peace king word penmanship on point, delivery excellent!
This is my 4th time revisiting it👌
"Seasoned with the beef, grab the pepper and assault shit" Verb is wigginggggggggg
Saurus is one of the only battle rappers who actually respects opponents lines and doesnt just stand there with a douchebag angry face rolling his eyes at every line lmao, respect to him
i never would have thought this would be a classic. this is the best battle ive seen in a long time. not a gun line festival, but real rap battle. we need to bring this form of battle rap back
Short timed battle but really good. They respect each other so they brought a bit of the best out of each other for this one. The fans win.
S/O KOTD for accepting and welcoming any rapper every rapper from different leagues. Thats really for the culture Diverse talent
yo verb material was fucking fire
yo to be honest.. one thing that i feel aye verb keeps alive is the actually " Rapping" aspect of this sport.. He isnt battle talking... he isnt just rhyming his words and setting up punches. Jack Blue I feel you on that forreal verb do be rapping👍
The Saurus demonstrated that he's better at being Aye Verb than Aye Verb.
The legend Aye Verb
this verb .. this is the verb that's on my mount rushmore .
Why is this Verb not the Verb we always see? Because this Verb is a Verb that Verb can't provide very often. Once in a blue moon type shit. The Saurus came in and beat him at his own game and I don't even like The Saurus.
Now that Verb announced his retirement,I hope people appreciate how great he is.
thesaurus is the only rapper who likes hearing a cold bar from opponent's more than spitting one
"Now every Aye Verb opponent picks the same way to approach him. But I feel like channeling Showtime would just be Shameless promotion." 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
verbs track in the beginning was crazy tho ahaha
In the PPV Saurus took (I timed it) 7 seconds of silence and "hold on" before he even took that phone out. Just in case anyone's trying to say it wasn't a true choke.
Homeskool MC Homeskool MC wowwww!!!! word fool lookin out for that important info...

I swear that shit madd corny...
and I had thesaurus winning that battle but what round did he choked in my g...
I'm lightweight pissed at this ducking battle now...
Hahaha 7 seconds still isn't a big choke and it was before he even begun his round, not one slip up throughout the round either.
13:06 - Those Mazda 6 bars were hilarious!!
😂😂
Thank you, Verb, for actually RAPPING
This battle is so underrated
I ride up!! in any whip you can imagine that's not a Mazda 6 😂😂😂💀💀💀
"TWO ARMS, 'ROUND THAT BODY, THAT'S THE HEIMLICH" FIRE!!!!!!
Mueed Kumandan - "I put Verb in a better place like the grammar police" was also pretty sick
A Skeptical Human Facts!!!!
This might be a classic battle. Both were ultra solid. I was impressed
This is 1 of my favorite battles i watched 6x times now so good
Verb was looking like his old self. Good battle from both vets Verb 2-1 though
“Tombstone digging in my gravesite, bring fire to the ring like the entrance of a Kane fight” this bar thoughhhh ppl slept on this
"it aint like this is something i could actually teach. 'cause i always spent way more time tryna practice than preach"
The Verb song in the intro kinda bangs.
"...but I put Verb in a better place like the grammar police."
That was sick.
Only seen like one battle with Verb before so it was new to me
Shit was corny
A Skeptical Human that was awful and forced lolol
But if Con said it it'd be genius. THat line was fire man, you're bugging.
@@penguin902 Facts! Shit was fire

More Aye Verb on KOTD where he can actually rap.
B. Griff he retires in May 2017
Moe Ali What? I hope he has nothing but great performances. When Aye Verb is On...he's unstoppable.
Verb make those words dance for real
I wish Verb would've rapped like this against K Shine. I hate K Shine. Verb is INCREDIBLE. 🔥
KINGSEANFAME yes i thought shine wouldve been a walk in the park for verb
Great fuckin battle from both sides. No drama no bullshit just straight bars, what the good ol battles used to be like

I Need Something That Says I Got A Perm But Im Not A Bitch 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

this has replay value all over it. this is my 4th time listening to it at work with headphones in lol
KOTD has the nicest crowds ever 😂😂😂
Yeah, they're so nice they'll even tolerate The Saurus blatantly looking at his phone and straight up admitting "I forgot my first word."
Comments are crazy. I felt like this was an awesome performance by Verb. He was 2-0 going into the third and almost had it but Saurus took that round. 2-1 Verb.
Thesaurus' jokes took away from his round in the 3rd. 3-0 Verb. People complaining about Verb's pen in this battle need to watch the battle again.
Black Bull they both had comedy in the third. TheSaurus didn't perform bad, had a slip up but Verb was really great especially in this not-so-big venue. The third rd imo was the only debatable rd.
Dope battle from 2 undeniable legends.. Salute!!
Great to see Saurus still killing it. I need that Solomon rematch, though..........
mazda 6 scheme was funny as fuck

FINALLY YALL DROPPED THIS!!! 🔥 🔥
verb 2-1
Goddamn, Verb rhyming like crazy. Fam is great to listen to when he's focused.
Instant classic. I haven't seen two emcees come off like this in a while. Both were dope as F, and I honestly feel they both won lol.
Intro track wasn't bad. Shouts out to Aye verb for that.
Never seen a battle rap gas his opponent more than the saurus
Verb showed up finally!! And then Saurus fucked up lol....Great battle nonetheless, love Bunker battles
Aye Verb rounds seemed kinda short but he showed up for this one. 2-1 Verb.
Respect for the straight too the battle!!! That was 🔥🔥🔥
5:59 that guys voice cracking fukkin killed me outta nowhere lmfao
I can't believe I'm watching this battle for a first time now. The fans won. Verb had three fire rounds with a lyrical masterpiece. Man do I love the un skippable ads that play after every other bar.
Bunker is such a great environment, exactly what a battle rap room should be
Mike Super facts

First battle I've watched all the way through in 2017.

So we just going to act like Verb ain't kill that beat 3-0 in the intro snippet?

If I had to choose 3 battle rappers to be on when they on their shit Verb is definitely one of them.
Jesus this battle is actually great
Aye verb seems like he doesn't care , when he comes 100% not many can beat him but every battle it's like he's running at 50%
Ayeverb rounds were 🔥 🔥
Dope battle. Fuck who won or lost, it's just dope to see these two spitters go for it.

That eatin in bunker line was 🔥 🔥
Bigg up to both these fellas for puttin on a show for us, and respecting each other and the culture. We got 30'ed.
If you say we got 3-0ed that implies that we lost, meaning the battle sucked. I think you mean we won 3-0
The Saurus shows hella love to whoevers rapping to him #saluteforreal
my favorite line was "I need something that says I have a perm but im not a bitch" hahah
