Hey I just wanted to say thank you for this video. The way the top comes off of the Bravo XL (and their seem to be more videos on that model) vs this one that you posted on, is totally different. What I found under the drum was actually articles of clothing that were collecting mold and mildew and smelled AWFUL. But now that is removed and its CLEAN and SMELLS GREATE! So thanks again I could not have figured it out without this video. :)
Thanks for the video I was able to remove the inner tub! However when I go to reinstall the inner tub I CANT get it to go down far enough so the whole spine shaft part is sticking out of the center therefore I am unable to get the agitator bolt to screw into the shaft...PLZ HELP!!!any suggestions???
To remove the plate you need to wiggle pull wiggle pull wiggle pull & throw some boiling water down the center nut ..you will see the water move down past the center nut when you wiggle & pull it will eventually come off if you keep repeating and pulling after putting boiling water...you may not even need the water if you’re patient enough; doesn’t seem like it will come off but it will ..took me forever to figure this out even after I got my fingers under the plate on both sides and pulling up!
Use a sizer jack with a 21 inch 2x4 on top of jack with wood under top rim of drum also before placing jack on shaft screw the bolt back in it 1st a little bit so that the bottom of jack will push shaft well below the drum surface if needed
probably not using "Affresh" as manufacture recommends - i drop one every time the reminder comes on. I just took apart mine due to bearings sounding like a jet engine during spin cycle after 5 years of use. found no mold but rust spots due to paper clips. Oh maybe the paperclips killed it?
Thank you for info, I purchased An now canceling a bravo XL. Model MVWB835DW. Today at Best Buy.

Drum looked like it needed scrubbing on the outside. You have a much better looking machine inside!
Great info video. Does anyone know of a washing machine that is not prone to this moldy condition? Thanks.
Sorry, I have not kept up with the problem.

This video helps out a lot. Thanks! By the way, it's called an impeller. Not an agitator! Lol!

THERESA TEMPEST we spun the tub around until it fell all the way down.
Our drum seems to be stuck and won't come out after removing the bult. Any suggestions?

Are you washing your clothes in poop? Why is there so much mold and crud? Gawd!
