    I’m more worried about how some of them said “go home and solve it there don’t be doing it around in public” that to me is unsettling...

    • @aabbym07
      @aabbym07 5 лет назад +564

      I couldn’t agree more, it’s really upsetting to see that kind of mind set... because at home no one can help her, at least in public there is somewhere for her to go if she need, she can run or go to the police, yet at home she is even more defenceless

    • @911beats
      @911beats 5 лет назад +132

      @@Sunshine-bt2wx girlfriend was being abused. I feel like that if they are not asking for help, then now I will let them be, because most people in those relationships are too attached to thier abuser. They also will lie for them, so when the police come and you try to explain the situation, you'll get arrested because of thier lies,
      I would be hesitant to stop if im the only person around. Because its your word against the both if thiers.

    The thing that kinda ticked me about this video is some people told him to stop because people were watching. Not because it was wrong but because they didn’t want to watch. Like I’m glad they made him stop but the reason for it was kinda wrong and shallow.

      I saw a lot of comments pointing that it could be much harmful by asking them to solve it at home, but actually there is a saying in China which is not to show your family business especially ugly things in public. That is why elder people do that to interfere. I think younger generation will take it more seriously as a domestic violence in the future.

Saying it’s part of the asian culture is only an excuse for domestic violence that shouldn’t appear anywhere!!

    I feel this is one instance where the public fell short of what they should have done. No one checked on how the woman was, whether she was hurt or in need of police help. All they said was people are watching you, and sort this out at home. They even called him a nice looking guy! What he was doing wasn't just unseemly or unnecessary, it was abuse, dangerous and downright illegal. Everyone downplayed how serious it clearly was.

    There was a case of domestic violence across the street from my house once. I watched for a moment to be able to understand what was happening. Then it started escalating. So I yelled at them twice that I was going to call the cops on them. At one point the man tackled her into a large bush, was saying things like "do you like me doing this to you?" They were both screaming. I was terrified, being a teenager, home alone. Never witnessing something like that before. I did call 911, but the scene de-escilated as I was talking to the operator. I had to give descriptions of both people, and they sent a patrol car. Because the couple ending up walking off. One of the scariest moments of my life. My entire body was shaking. Whew, I still get freaked out talking about it. But its a huge issue.

    I personally can understand why they didn't got involved in this fight!
    But what they should have done is calling the police instead!!
    Here in Germany a couple got into a fight
    A passanger wanted to stop the man hitting his wife.
    But the man stabbed the passanger with a knife in his stomach.
    It's not always good to get involved in a fight especially when a man looks so aggresive.
    But there are other ways of helping this poor woman,
    For examble calling the police.

    Its really depends on some people who can't see bad for anyone ....and they are the one who can take stand even for strangers ...we need more people like this and I really appreciate their kindness...☺️
    As in the case of domestic violence there is no chance to forgive... There is no chance to settle any domestic violence at home... A quick action is needed.. that's it🤨

      Vıvıđ Møøn no, they were saying he’s a good man, and, worse, telling him to settle it at home.. In my country, it’s a public matter, domestic violence is a public issue, and anyone can report AND should. What we see them doing, their reaction to this HORRIBLE (tho fake) scenario, isn’t right, it’s not correct, it is the result of the conformism based in their mentalities with these kinda situations and a cultural belief that DV is a private matter. Of course, it all depends on the circumstances, but in this case, he looked, apparently, ready to give her some broken bones and bruised face and even make her bleed! Hell, he could’ve killed her for all they knew! Yet, no one did anything major. No one gave him a lesson. Even those three guys; they were THREE; yet they simply told him not to embarrass himself, even when the guy said “I’ll hit you when we get back home”. They didn’t drag him, they didn’t call the police, they didn’t protect her and took her with them to the police station, they didn’t take him to the legitimate authorities. They simply separated him from her in that moment and asked “how can you do this?” etc etc etc.. when, again, for all they knew, once they left, he could keep tormenting and beating her up. What they did wouldn’t change anything. But it’s in their mentalities. That they don’t do more than that. If it’s true like some people said here in the comments that the police also don’t do anything in China to protect these victims, then these guys already know this; they could’ve done something different upon their own means to stop this situation, to help HER, who seemed clearly defenceless and helpless. The guy was going to keep beating her up once they had left, if this was a real scenario. They knew this and didn’t do anything else. This breaks my heart, honestly 😔

    I’ve had a situation like this happen before. It was scary because I wasn’t sure if I could stop it, the girl looked so scared and I wanted to help, but, I knew that if I interfered they both might go against me, so before I got myself involved I took a quick video of him abusing her then I called the police and then went to stop it. I do boxing sessions and I have stamina and a strong core so I used that to my advantage to fight the man, but the women turned on me as well and helped her husband (which I did kind of expect) but, I didn’t hit her at all instead I gave her pushes so she would move out of the way. When the police did arrive which took about 3-4 minutes, by that time I was bruised and worn out, we all got questioned and taken in, the girl went against me and took her husbands side accusing me of abusing them both but I had video evidence that she was being abused my her husband. I had to file a report and then I took my leave, they assured me they would look further into the case and look into the video. I’m scared that if he doesn’t get sentenced he would continue to hurt her. Please help other people who need it! Be smart with your actions and do not put yourself at risk straight away, also make sure to have called the police beforehand and take video evidence of the situation, it will help a ton!

    Domestic violence is trivialized in different ways from around the world.
    In the West, when people victim-blame domestic abuse victims, they go “WHY ARE YOU STAYING WITH HIM/HER IF HE/SHE BEATS YOU?!” Not realizing the abuser threatened the victim if they dare leave and the victim is scared that the abuser would kill them or hurt their family and friends.
    Also, I noticed most of the victim-blamers are simps and incels.
    In Asian countries, people are too scared to help domestic violence victims because they’re scared they will make the problem worse or get hurt too, it’s a huge issue. This is coming from an actual Asian person. Domestic violence is often treated as an issue that the abusers and victims should solve on their own. Too many bystanders.
