She wished to "not die alone" so she was granted the wish as a "tie with life", hence the ribbons, in the drama CD or the game I don't really remember, it tells how she was very weak when she started and trained and read books on weaponry to learn to transform her ribbons into something useful, the guns, that's why she's a veteran. The irony is, she wished to not die alone, so she lived alone, then met Madoka and...you should know the rest, heheheh.

Mami has to intimately know and consciously recreate her guns on the spot. Which is still hilarious, but dayum girl.
I wanted to cry watching this. Even though at first I felt like Mami's character was lacking (due to the fact she was gone so early in the storyline), I really so love her character.
She beats up a giant butterfly willowthing, removes 50 shot guns from her skirt, turns ribbon into a gun, falls a 100 feet, and stands there drinking tea like nothing happened. That is badass
She names the attacks because it reminds her of the magical girls of her own childhood and that gives her a little more courage to face the witches. Other puella magi just seem to think of it as stupid and inconvenient...
I doubt that. I think Homura, Madoka, and Sayaka like it as in Homuilys laybirnith they all say attacks like magical girls. Probably just try to take the job seriously and have a lot of guts Edit: Also in the different story Kyoko said it so I’m assuming they only do it when they aren’t traumatized

I love how they use much more detailed and often photorealistic animation for the witches. It makes them look so uncanny and out of place with everything else.
It's weird how Candelero is so small while most other witches are gigantic like even gertrude is like at least the size of a large house, candeloro is smaller than a human
@@rateat3r That's not really true, witches vary a lot, H.N.Elly is also quite small, just an old TV screen with wings slapped on to it. Uhrmann is a dog so she's probably smaller than a human too. We just happen to see mostly oversized ones.
the letters/symbols are actually a runic text made for the show. each of the symbols are a certain letter and spell out the name. but on the other hand, the words/sentences you see in the show translate to jibberish if you dont know what youre looking at. its actually text in German. people just translate it to english.

Kyoko seems like an anomaly, until the PSP game clarifies that her powers were originally illusions. It ties with her wish of having people hear out her Father, which tragically ended up being interpreted as them blindly following his every word, like giving into illusions.
